Wilhelm Menebroker, son of Henry and Wilhelminia, was born February 5, 1873 in Lotte Westphalia, Germany. He attended the state school in Lotte Westphalia and also received the fundamental teaching of the Christian religion. In 1887 he came to America with his parents, three brothers, Henry, August and Herman, and one sister, Sophia and settled in Nebraska southwest of Clearwater where his sister Minnie Bauman had settled in 1883. Wilhelm continued his education and later did farm work for his room and board. In 1895 he began working for Henry Marwood. He worked there for nine years and later purchased a farm northeast of Clearwater. He married Emma Miekle on April 6, 1904. Emma was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Rudolph Miekle who came from Germany. Wilhelm and Emma were blessed with two daughters, Mildred, 1906, and Elsa, 1909. Mildred married Bernard Schacht and they had three children: Elden, married Marion Moser, four children. Elsa married Paul Schacht, one child, Arden. Paul died when Arden was a small child. Elsa married Wayne Colson. Arden married Marilyn Macauley, five children. Wilhelm passed away on April 4, 1937 and Emma died in 1948.
