Chris Leiding was born in Germany on November 12, 1859 and came to the United States in 1887. Chris married Sena Stockhorst in 1891. She was also born in Germany on February 8, 1868. She came to America in 1891. They were married in Fremont, Nebraska. They were the parents of 10 children. In 1902 they moved to a farm west and north of Orchard, Nebraska. The farmed until September of 1941 when they sold the farm to their youngest son, Henry and his wife Alice. The moved to Orchard at this time.
