Arthur Kirk Lee was born in Neligh, Nebraska on September 22, 1892. He was well educated in the public schools provided. He worked with the Union Pacific Railroad as a stenographer. After that he sold typewriters, was the secretary to the Governor of Wyoming, a bank examiner, and eventually a Wyoming State Senator. He went to Kansas and was in the natural gas business. He married Sylvia Sieben on October 7, 1907. They were parents of one son, Richard who went to the gas business with his father. Arthur died May 2, 1964 in Wilmette, Illinois. Sylvia died in 1973 and Richard in 1976.
