Albert E. Edwards was born on May 4, 1857, the son of Allen and Rose Edwards, in Nunda, New York. He was the oldest of four children. He moved to Wisconsin with his parents where he grew to manhood.
In 1885 he came to Antelope County, Nebraska where he worked in the construction business with the David Blesh family of Oakdale. On July 25, 1887 he was united in marriage with Laurene Blesh. They moved to Tilden in 1894. They were the parents of two children: Eunice was born in 1897 and completed high school at Tilden and later graduated from Peru State Normal. She married Ralph E. Crook and they lived in the Meadow Grove community until 1930 when they moved to California. Their children were: Mariann, Jack, and Marjorie. The other daughter, Grace who was born in 1892 also graduated from Tilden and married J. Everett Kreidler. They farmed in the Tilden community for a few years, later moving to several other Nebraska locales before retiring in Florida. They were the parents of Howard and Willard. Mr. Edwards was engaged in the building and contracting business during his entire residency in Tilden. He died November 29, 1939.
