Thomas Carr was born March 13, 1836 in Indiana. He married Mary Jane Giunn, February 5, 1863. Thomas and Mary moved their family from Indiana to Otoe County, Nebraska, in 1876. Later they moved to Cedar Township, Antelope County. Thomas and Mary were the parents of four children: William, born 1863, died 1887; Estella married James Woodman, one son, Donald; Nellie Carr; James Randall, born March 29, 1870, died May 24, 1944 at Elgin. James married Lucy Carr on July 20, 1892. They were the parents of one son, Ora Ross, born October 11, 1894, Antelope County; Ora married Alydthe Alderson, June 6, 1917. They were the parents of two children, Nina and Dewey. Nina married Kenneth Schulte, July 14, 1956, three children. Dewey married Ruth Pollock, June 4, 1953. They were the parents of five children: Janice who married Roger Cook; Donald married Ardith DePeel, James married Rebecca Schmeits; Alice married Aaron Morrison; Richard married Kirsten Nelson.
