Myron Carpenter, a veteran of the Civil War, was born January 9, 1843 and died June 25, 1919. Following his discharged from the army, he married Martha Gallino in Illinois on November 25, 1867. They later moved to Iowa, and after living there for a while they moved on west to Nebraska, settling on land near what is Raeville. They were the parents of five children: Della, Nellie, Albert, Charles and Myron Jr. In 1881 the family moved to the Cedar Creek area where they lived for 14 years. Later they moved to a farm four miles northeast of Neligh. Albert Carpenter spent his entire life in Antelope County, having been born in the sod house near Raeville on May 27, 1875. He died April 29, 1949. He married Martha Hall at Neligh on April 6, 1899 and they had a son, Ralph, and a daughter, Helen. Ralph was born January 13, 1900 and Helen on April 6, 1902. Martha Carpenter died January 16, 1919. Albet married Cora Byerly of Verdel on November 18, 1924. Helen Carpenter married Romaine Peterson; Ralph Carpenter married Mary Alderson of Elgin. Donald Carpenter married Verna Nagel of Brunswick; Eugene Carpenter married Lucille Jensen of Plainview. Glenn Carpenter married Cheryl Backhuus of Neligh.
