Walter Bradley and Marjorie Jenkins were married in Rushville, Nebraska, when they were both traveling with the Clint and Bessie Robbins Show. Walter was a stage carpenter. They settled in Neligh and operated a confectionary store called Candyland.
Walter was drafted, so Marjorie ran the store alone. She also played the piano for the silent movies, directed the Neligh town band and played the trombone. Walter played the drums. Walter and Marjorie organized a dance orchestra and played for dances around the area. Walter took over running the movie theatre and years later opened the first Drive In-The Starlight. He died in 1962. He was very active in local affair for more than 40 years. Walter and Marjorie had two children: John William and Joline.
