On January 19, 1907, Edward Armstrong of Sarpy County, Nebraska, purchased from Matilda Lund, 160 acres in Ellsworth Township, Antelope County, located one mile south and three and a half miles west of Brunswick.
In March, Edward moved his machinery, livestock, furniture and all by rail form Sarpy to Brunswick; later his wife Grace and two children, Irene and Dan.
Edward Armstrong was born September 9, 1878, at Springfield, Nebraska, the son of Hugh Armstrong and Nettie Johnson. He married Abbie Grace Anson on October 23, 1901. Grace was born May 7, 1883 to Edward Tull Anson and Rebecca Britain. Both the Anson and Armstrong families had come from Illinois to Sarpy County. The farm home was begun with all new buildings but in the early 1930's many were destroyed by fire.
Ed and Grace had six children; Irene who married Clifford Keetle; Daniel who wed Sylvia Patras; Francis who married Luella Keetle; Nettie Mae who married Vernon Rader; Roger who wed Ruth Jensen; and Elaine who married Kenneth Van Ostrand.
