Sawyer — Buche

The marriage of Pvt. Verdell M. Sawyer and Miss Almeda R. Buche took place Sunday, January 13, at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Buche of Brunswick at three o’clock in the afternoon. Rev Price of the Congregational Church, performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of immediate relatives of contracting parties.

The bride wore a suit of powder blue accented by black accessories, and her bridesmaid, Miss Dorothy Waldo, of Brunswick wore deep rose.

The groom wore his Army uniform and was attended by his brother, Ervin Sawyer, recently discharged from the air corps. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Paul Senseney, an aunt of the bride.

The bride is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Buche, merchants in Brunswick. She is a graduate of the Brunswick high school.

The groom is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Sawyer of Royal. He grew to maturity here and graduated from the local high school with the class of 1942. Prior to his induction into the Army in August 1945, he was employed on his grand father’s farm near Brunswick and for the past six months has been stationed at Camp Robinson, Arkansas. He expects to be transferred at the conclusion of his furlough next week. Mrs. Sawyer will continue to assist her parents in the store at Brunswick while her husband is absent.

Following the marriage ceremony a reception was held for the newlyweds who received many lovely gifts.
