HAROLD REMAN ZIEMANN

Harold Reman Ziemann, age 52, of 126 5th Avenue, Orchard Valley, Cheyenne, Wyoming, formerly of Hazen, North Dakota, died after a lengthy illness, March 20, 1975, at a Cheyenne hospital.

He was born September 2, 1922, at Krem, North Dakota (north of Hazen) to Mr. and Mrs. August Ziemann (Lydia Knecht.) He was reared on a farm north of Hazen and grew up and got his schooling in Mercer County. He was married to Helen Sailer November 5, 1944, at Krem, North Dakota. They farmed in the Krem area for nine years and in 1953 moved to Pick City, North Dakota. They moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming, in 1957, where he continued in construction work.

He is survived by his widow; three sons, Mark, Laramie, Wyoming, Jerome and Stuart both of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two daughters, (Betty) Mrs. Thomas L. Thomas, Seward, Nebraska, Barbara at home; two grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene and Art Ziemann, Hazen, North
Dakota; two sisters, (Frieda) Mrs. Edwin Arndt, Effington, South Dakota, (Lorina) Mrs. Herb Zuern, Hazen, North Dakota; and his mother, Lydia Ziemann, Hazen, North Dakota.

His father and one sister preceded him in death.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 24, at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Hazen, with Rev. J.N. Sellmeyer officiating.  Burial was in St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery, Hazen.

Honorary pallbearers were: Eldor Rasch, Albert Wegerle, Ervin Drath, Elmer Richter, Eldor Sommers, and Emil Rahn.

Active pallbearers were: Stanley Sailer, James Sailer, Dallas Sailer, Jacob Sailer, Dale Miller and Edwin Arndt, Jr.
