He was a store owner in Belle, MO; Judge in Osage Co; and actively bought and sold real estate in Gasconade and Maries Co. He was an enlistor for the UNION troops during the Civil War. I have a poem he wrote about the Civil War.) Sarah Jane Rogers m. (1) to James Perry Stump, s/o Leonard & Mary Stump (2) James Beasley. (Both marriages were in Osage Co MO, but the families lived in Maries and Gasconade Counties.) Arlevia Ann Stump m. 1880 in Gasconade Co MO to David Jefferson "Jeff" Lemons. Grandpa Jeff was a constable in the Maries Co. area.
