BEEDY CEMETERY T6, North of Weld

Take Rte. 4 North from Phillips. Turn left on the No. 6 Rd. and continue for about 2 miles. Then turn right and cross two bridges. This is the Boise truck road. Proceed about a mile to a second right turn. Then proceed about a mile. The cemetery is close to the road about a mile on the left side. It is marked by a line of rocks at a right angle to the toad and between two red markers tied to trees. It is probably about 50 feet from the road.

BELCHER CEMETERY, Farmington

Go up Anson Street by the courthouse past High Street. As you climb the hill, there's a private driveway to Joseph Holman's house on the right. The Cemetery is on his land up in the woods, but fairly close to the road. It can be seen from the road most of the year. It's surrounded by a wall. I certainly would get permission. His law office is on Main Street and that would likely be the best way to catch him.

BILLINGTON CEMETERY, Phillips

Through information given to me by Reginald Bubier of Phillips, I hiked into the area known as the Dill Road in Phillips. I followed the Dill Rd. toward SR-142 (Weld Rd.) About a mile after the Milton Stinchfield house the Rd. takes a left. Not far up the Rd. on a rise to the right is the cemetery. It sets up off the Rd. about 30 yards, among some very large trees. Only three stones were ledgible. What appeared to be three other graves were also seen, but no formal stones, just field stones, set up with large stones at the head and smaller at the foot.

BOWLEY'S CORNER CEMETERY, New Sharon

This cemetery is located on the Cape Cod Hill Road off Rt. 139. It is located behind the school on a path that is marked as a Nature Trail. The children in the school had taken on the project of cleaning up this cemetery. They did a marvelous job. They have even planted a few flowers and some are artificial but everyone has a flower, they also strung a rope around the granite posts that were along the outside of the cemetery. There is a flat stone with a plaque in the center of the graveyard that says: “Repaired in the Memory of those known and unknown who lie on this hill by the Cape Cod School 1997".
