Wolfe Gap Cemetery is located on the Finzel Swamp Nature Preserve off Cranberry Swamp Road before the town of Finzel on Little Savage Mountain. You cannot drive up to the cemetery or the entrance of the nature reserve. Wear good shoes and long pants when making the hike into the area of the cemetery. Don't hike in alone. It is a Nature Preserve and tracks of what looked like Mountain Lion were evident when we made our visit. Hike down the path until you see the foundation of an old house and turn right. Continue on until you see a fence post that has been tagged with red tape. Once you have located the post with the red tape you will start to climb slightly up an incline into a wooded area. The cemetery is a short walk through the wooded area. There is one tall family monument, which makes it easier to spot the cemetery through the trees.

Note the post on the right with red tape marking the spot to enter into the wooded area.
You will pass these posts on the way up to the cemetery. Kathy is facing downhill for the picture.
