  • Deaths - A. C. WILLIAMS on 13 Jan 1887 at William Station on WV Central RR; age 43y.11m. He leaves a wife and nine children. His residence is in Deer Park where he and his wife's parents and relations now live. Burial was at Deer Park on Jan 16; Revs. HORN and KORTZ preaching at the funeral.

February 11, 1887
  • Deaths - William CRUISE was instantly killed in the mines near Frostburg on Friday last. - Michael BURKE, one of Piedmont's oldest citizens, died Saturday last of paralysis. - Adam BOSTON, well-known butcher and cattle dealer of Lonaconing, was killed by the cars in Pittsburgh while on a business trip, on Friday last.

February 18, 1887
  • Deaths - Joseph KUHN, a young man working on the P & C RR Company was found on the B & O road almonst one mile below Piedmont on Sunday with one arm and both legs cut off. He died the same evening. He leaves a wife and family in Baltimore. He is supposed to have fallen from the train. - Charles MESSMAN, s/o Francis MESSMAN, of Cumberland, slipped from a car near Rockwood Station in Pittsburgh Division of B & O and was killed, Tuesday last.

  • Marriages - Charles P. HARVEY of Parkersburg and Miss Minnie McKONE of Piedmont, WV, were married in St Peter's Catholic Church in Westernport on February 15.
