on the hill back of his house. The stones are crudely lettered.
Mr. BARNES said they were carved by an illiterate slave.

- While no stone is now visible, the name of Ludwig has been added on
authority of Scharf who states he was buried here.
- from The Harbaugh Family by Rev. Dr. Henry HARBAUGH,
printed Chambersburg 1856, we learn that
- Elias was of small stature but active; that
- Henry, bro of Jacob, was the first to be buried on the lot and
that he died ca 1779, age 45, and that he was mentally unsound,
but was a prodigious hunter and rail splitter, being of giant stature.
He was buried in exceedingly deep snow during a bitter cold spell.
- John of Jacob was short and lusty and lived on the old farm.

at Oak Orchard.
Accompanied by Mary Danner DUDDERAR, the compiler visited this farm,
but found only one stone in the barn-bank wall. But, from a list made
about 1930 by Peter T. DUDDERAR of Unionville, we give other names from
stones which are said to have been put in floor of a dairy house. From
his list we find that there were stones at the barn and dumped in the woods.
Locations are designated B or W.

This cemetery lies about 2 miles east of Point of Rocks and 1/2 mile
east of railroad crossing of US 15. It is on the Titus farm and is
north of the road, slightly behind and scarcely visible from the main road.
In Wm. J. GROVES History of Carrollton Manor, he gives a list which I checked
against the stones. A few on his are not now to be found and I have included
them here, designated by 'G'. My list was made in November 1956.

is on the old ________ PEDDICORD place, now the estate of Dr. J.H. BAUER.
Dr. BAUER'S estate is on the Unionville-Woodville road south of Unionville,
say 2 miles. This graveyard was on Mrs. DUDDERAR'S list.
On 12 NO 1957, Dr. BAUER kindly helped decipher the names and dates and
both he and his charming wife showed interest in preserving this burial plot.

It is north of Ballenger Creek road about a mile southwest of the Lutheran
church. The plot is in fair shape and fenced, but many stones are down.
This is sometimes called the German Thomas graveyard.

This cemetery lies on west side of Quaker Church Road 1/2 mile from
the church. It is surrounded by a low stone wall. It seems too large for
a family graveyard and there is space enough in front for a church building.

This small burial place was on Kemp farm at Rocky Springs.
At time of copying by Major Joseph H. HOLDCRAFT (AP 1956), the
military reservation was about to engulf this farm and stones were
to be moved to Mount Olivet.
