Will of John Perigo

John Perigo,
Book 5, 21 Feb 1796
"In Gods Name I John Perigo of Baltimore
County being sick and weak of Body but of a sound mind and memory Do make and
ordain this my Last Will and Testament in the following manner to wit
First I Give my soul to the Author of its being
hoping for his mercy through the merits of Jesus Christ. I Give and
bequeath to my daughter Rebeckah Perigo all my land being part of a Tract of
Land Called Burman's Forrest Containing and laid out for one Hundred acres
more or Less which said land I Give to my said daughter Rebecca Perigo and to
her heirs and assigns forever. I further Give and bequeath to my said
daughter Rebeckah Perigo Negroes Dick Ceaser Priss and Sy Together with all my
stock of Horses, Cattle Sheep hogs farming Utensils, Implements of Husbandry
household and Kitchen furniture with every thing on my above named land Except
what shall be by me otherwise Bequeathed. I Give and Bequeath to my
daughter Ellender Perigo Negroes Nan, Juno Phil Shade Easter and one Sorrel
Colt, named Lightfoot. I Give and Bequeath to my daughter Deborah Curtis
Negroes Kenny Jerry and Jin. I Give and Bequeath to my Grand daughter
Ellender Baxter one shilling sterling and no more of my real and Personal
Estate. And Lastly I do nominate and appoint my daughter Rebeckah Perigo
and my Brother William Sollers? my sole Executors of this my Last Will and
Testament revoking all other wills by me heretofore made. In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this Twenty first day
of February one Thousand seven hundred and ninety six, Signed sealed and
published pronounced and declared by John Perigo to be his Last will and
Testament in presence of us
