Mrs. Susanna H. Watson, widow of the late Jos. W. Watson, died at the home of her son, Mr. Wm. F. Watson, near Centreville, Monday afternoon about 4 o’clock, aged 80 years, 1 month and 13 days, of general debility. On account of her advanced years, Mrs. Watson had been in declining health for some time past. Before her marriage in 1848 she was Miss Susanna H. Fosbenner and was born in Baltimore. June 25th, 1826. After her marriage to Mr. Watson she removed to this county, where she has since resided. She was a woman with many admirable qualities and contributed liberally to those in less fortunate circumstances. As long as health permitted Mrs. Watson was an earnest and faithful worker of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, of which she’s a member. Three children were the result of her marriage to Mr. Watson, namely, Joseph, Mary Elizabeth and Wm. F. Watson, the only one surviving. She also leaves two granddaughters, Misses Fannie M. and Susan H. Watson, Funeral services were held at the old homestead Wednesday afternoon, Revs. James A. Mitchell and Walter B. Stehl, officiating, and interment was made in the family buring ground on the farm. The following persons acted as pall-bearers: Messrs. W. T. P. Turpin, C. H. Clash, Alfred Tucker, Sr., W. F. Bailey, Addison Emory and C. H. Kenton.
