I'm looking for descendants of my great grandfather's sister,
Elizabeth. Elizabeth SMITH married Earl (Ike) BALDWIN in the late 1800s
sometime. Evidently, he died relatively young. Family information says she
remarried laster to a man named ROBERTS. She had at least 2 children, Will and
Bebe (usually short for Elizabeth). In the obituary for her sister Nancy in
1932, she was living in Maryland. An article about this family in a Beloit
newspaper sometime in the 40s specified that she had died at Will's home in
Lonaconing. Would love to find some cousins. Does anyone have any information
about this family? Thanks!

I am
searching desperately for my great grandfather's sister, Elizabeth SMITH. Her
family was originally from Newfield, New York, but came west to Rock County,
Wisconsin the the 1860s. We are searching for Elizabeth's descendants and those
of her 9 brothers and sisters for a possible family reunion. Elizabeth married
Earl F. BALDWIN (we think his nickname was Ike), a Wisconsin 13th Infantry
volunteer in the Civil War, and then it appears he died pretty early. I have his
pension file on order. Family data has that she remarried, to a man named
ROBERTS (no first name). Her two children were Will and Bebe (probably short for
Elizabeth), probably by BALDWIN. She died sometime after 1932 in Lonaconing,
Allegany County, Maryland. (We know this since she appeared as next of kin in
the obituary for her sister, who died in 1932). If anyone knows ANYTHING about
Elizabeth or her children, please contact me.

she married Martin NOLAN in about 1894 or 1895. In 1900, she was 26 years old
and had children Annie, Daniel, and Margaret.
We know that Margaret died
young. Martin and Margaret (maybe called Rose) had a son, Leon, in 1901, and a
son, William, on June 25, 1905. Margaret died sometime after William's birth.
The 1910 census shows Annie, Leon, and William living with grandparents-- Thomas
J. and Emiline CHAMBERS. This CHAMBERS family is next door to the Nolan's in the
1900 census.
Now, the 1880 census does not show a Margaret CHAMBERS
living with Thomas and Emiline. Their listed daughter, Cecelia, would be about
the right age, but I have information from a correspondent that Cecelia married
another: November 22, 1892 St Marys of the Annunciation R.C Church Lonaconing

I
am seeking descendents of James DAILEY of Cumberland Maryland. He was the
brother of Mary T.D. DAILEY CROOK, and he was the brother-in-law of U.S. Army
General George CROOK. In particular I am interested in correspondence between
General George CROOK and his wife Mary T.D. DAILEY CROOK that was rumored to
have come into the possession of her brother after Mary Dailey Crook's death. I
assume James DAILEY took position of the letters, as he is the only brother of
Mary Dailey Crook I am aware of - but it could have been another sibling. I am
doing research on the relationship between General George CROOK and his nephew
General Thomas CROOK SULLIVAN and would like to know of any references to Thomas
Crook SULLIVAN in any existing correspondence.
I am willing to share copies
of photos of George and Mary CROOK as well as copies of Crook's correspondence I
have with the possessor of the correspondence referred to above. If you have
copies of the above referenced material, I am set up with a photo printing
system that makes museum quality photo jumbo prints and I have high quality
prints of Crook (studio portrait in uniform 11 ax 14 and group photo at the end
of the starvation march at Deadwood 9 ax 13- a rarity) and a photo of Crook and
his wife Mary. These are museum grade 100 year no fade prints. If you have this
information or any information about General Thomas Crook Sullivan, please
contact me.
