She married 1) Joseph Crews June 18, 1792 in Campbell Co Va. Joseph Crews died in
1800 leaving Polly with 4 small children.
She married 2) William Crowley, 1872 VA-1828 KY, probably about 1807 in Georgia.
William Crowley, husband of Joseph Crews' widow, appeared as #69 in Oglethorpe Co GA
list of eligible drawers in the Land Lottery of 1806, claiming 1 draw for the four
orphans of Joseph Crews, deceased. (Source: Oglethorpe Misc. Records 158,725,list
of eligible drawers lottery of 1806).
In 1811 William Crowley and Polly Elder Crews came to KY with the four Crews orphans
and two children of their own, where William Crowley appears in every Henderson Co
tax list from 1812-1819, either on Camp Creek or on Highland Creek. Their marriage
produced seven children.
William Crowley's Henderson Co will of 1828 appears in Will Book B, page 175, 176, 311.
Appraisers of his estate were Charles Cottingham, John Overfield and Samuel Marks.
At the estate sale of 5 Sept 1828, his stepson Williamson Crews was administrator.
The settlement of William Crowley's esate was signed by H. Higginson, John Christian,
and George W. King.

and died April 11, 1880 in Webster Co Ky. Williamson Crews married Margery Marks,
the daughter of John Marks II and his wife Rachel, who were born in Loudoun Co VA
and died in Henderson Co KY. The marriage record of Williamson Crews and
Margery Marks has never been located. They were the parents of fourteen children.
Margery Marks Crews, 1795-1880, is buried at Crews Cemetery, as is her husband.
