Pendley Boyce TODD, two-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. C.G. Todd, died
Saturday at 6 p.m. in a Hopkinsville hospital following an illness of
terminal pneumonia. Survivors besides the parents are grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Will P. Todd, LaPorte, Inc., and Mrs. Ritchie RAY, White
Plains. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the home of
Mrs. Todd's aunt, Mrs. Sam BOYCE, in White Plains, with burial in New

Herman TODD, 38, was found dead in an automobile near his home in Sebree early Monday morning by Gordie LAMBDIN.
Lambdin, Herman and Ray Todd, brothers, had been out Sunday night, and when they arrived home late, Ray Todd, who was
driving, parked the car, left the other two asleep in the rear seat, and went home. Lambdin reported that when he awoke about
5 o'clock Monday morning he attempted to rouse Todd and found that he was dead. Verdict of Coroner J. Murray BLUE of Clay
was that death was due to acute alcoholism. Survivors are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chess Todd, Sebree, three brothers, and
four sisters. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Pentecostal Mission in Sebree, the Rev. E.V. Todd

W.G. TODD, 72, of Henderson, former Webster county farmer, died Saturday of injuries suffered several days earlier when he was thrown out of a farm wagon. He was riding on the wagon when the team became frightened and jerked the wagon, throwing him to the ground. Surviving are sons, Rudolph, of Henderson, O.A., of Henderson route 2, and Cecil, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four grandchildren; and a brother, Charles S. Todd, Henderson. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Cedar Grove church in Webster county, with burial in Todd cemetery. Providence Journal-Enterprise, Thursday, 20 October, 1949.
William Henry TODD, 66, died at 7 a.m. Friday at his home near Diamond. He was a retired farmer and a member of Diamond Baptist Church. Survivors are the wife, Janie; a daughter, Mrs. Pauline ROBINSON, Providence rural route; a son, John Louis Todd of Akron, Ohio; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Diamond Baptist church, with the Rev. Iley WHITFIELD of Mortons Gap officiating. Burial was in Wilson cemetery.

Mrs. Urie Bell TODD, 62, wife of Henry Todd, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday at her home near Providence. Surviving are the husband; one son, Marvin Todd; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The body is at Tapp Funeral Home in Providence. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm. today at Gum Grove Church, with the Rev. James WILLIAMS of Slaughters officiating. Burial will be in White Oak cemetery.

Charlie F. TOLLEY, 84, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday at his home near Providence. Mr. Tolley, a lifelong resident, was a retired coal miner. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lillian GREEN, Evanston, Ill., and Mrs. Gene RUSSELL, Menominee Falls, Wis.; two sons, Frank of Evansville and Cecil of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Ed DORRIS, Evansville, and Mrs. Lelia BURKLOW, Cave-in-Rock, Ill.; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Melton Funeral Home with the Rev. Leslie CHAPMAN officiating. Burial was in Lakeview cemetery.

Edgar TOMPKINS, 29, of Slaughters died at Hopkins County Hospital, Madisonville, Saturday from injuries received while working on his car. Surviving are his wife, Geneva; a baby daughter; three sisters, Mrs. Delbert WILLIAMS and Mrs. Harpie EDEN, Slaughters, and Mrs. Clarence UTLEY, Henderson; and four brothers, Benny, of Madisonville, Martin and Fern, of Henderson, and Thomas, of Slaughters. Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the Baptist church in Slaughters, with the Rev. J.E. HARTFORD officiating. Burial was in the Slaughters cemetery. Mrs. Grace TOMPKINS, 64, of Slaughters, died at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday in Hopkins County Hospital in Madisonville where she had been
a patient since Friday. She was the widow of Finis Tompkins. Surviving are six sons, Joe and Bobby of Slaughters, W.D. of Chula
Vista, Calif., Henry of Mt. Vernon, Ind., Cecil of Louisville, and Donald, U.S. Navy; four daughters, Mrs. Irene McGREGOR of
Hopkinsville, Mrs. Stella CROWE of Manitou, Mrs. Nancy BALLARD of Evansville, and Miss Mabel Tompkins, Slaughters; two
brothers, Floyd and Cloral HOBGOOD of Madisonville; and one sister, Mrs. Walter Tompkins, Madisonville. Funeral services will be
held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at Slaughters Methodist Church, with the Rev. W.E. JARBOE and the Rev. Johnnie WILSON
officiating. The body will be taken from Tompkins Funeral Residence in Sebree to the church at 12:30 p.m. today. Burial will be in

Mrs. Ida TOWE, 77, died at 4 a.m. Saturday at her home in Lisman following an illness of two weeks. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Ora KELLER, Misses Helen and Willie Towe, Lisman, and Mrs. Irene RAYBURN, of the Clay country; two sons, Orrel, of Clay, and Hymen Towe, Lisman; two brothers, W.T. MITCHELL, Paducah, and J.T. Mitchell, near Providence; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Cumberland Presbyterian church in Lisman, with the Rev. R.T. Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Lisman cemetery.

Helen Towe, Lisman; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were
conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at Fairview church, with the Rev. Harvey W.
RIGGS of Henderson, officiating. Pallbearers were Brent DUNCAN,
Millard WHITLEDGE, Smith FUQUA, Homer BROWN, Tapp WHITE, and Hardin
ASHER. Burial was in Fairview church cemetery.

Robert Amplis TOWE, jr., 39, former Webster county resident, died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, at his home in Evansville following a heart attack. Survivors are the wife, Myrtle; two daughters, Sara Sue and Patsy Gale; a son, Jerry Wayne; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Towe, Dixon; two sisters, Mrs. J.W. WINSTEAD, Evansville, and Mrs. Robert E. TODD, Henderson; and three brothers, Thomas of Evansville, James, of Dixon, and Teddy Towe, of Macon, Ga. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Tapp Funeral Home in Dixon, with the Rev. Twins, a boy and a girl, were born Monday, March 8, to Mr. and Mrs. Clyde TOWERY, 14641 Mack, Detroit, Mich. The girl lived twenty-four hours and the boy lived three hours. Each weighed two pounds. Mr. and Mrs. Towery have one other son, Ricky, age one. Mr. Towery is the son of Mrs. A.O. Towery, Providence Route 2, and brother of John Henry Towery, North Broadway.

Eddie TOWERY, 70, died at his home in Diamond at 3:30 p.m. Monday as the result of a heart attack which he suffered as he went to a well to get water for his horses. He had worked in his fields during the morning but was unable to return to work in the afternoon because of the intense heat. He was a native of Crittenden county. Only survivor is his wife, the former Mary Ethel WALKER. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sugar Grove church in Crittenden county, with the Rev. E.G. SISK of Diamond, and the Rev. O.D. SPENCE, of Tennessee, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

John Aaron TOWERY, 80, former resident of Crittenden county, died Tuesday night, December 22, in Marion, Ill. Surviving are the wife, Ella; and two sisters, Mrs. D.B. SIGLER of Providence and Mrs. J.A. WOOD of Sturgis. Mrs. D.D. BRANTLEY of Providence is a cousin. Funeral services and burial were conducted Saturday in Marion, Ill. Mrs. Laura Ardell TOWERY, 84, died at 2 p.m. Thursday in her home at Shady Grove following a heart attack. Mrs. Towery was the widow of the late W.H. Towery who died in 1942. She was the daughter of John Lewis PEYTON and was born in Hopkins county. She was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist church. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Murray G. McDOWELL, Shady Grove; two grandsons, Hinkle and Boyce HUBBARD; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in Shady Grove cemetery, with the Rev. Albert KEMP of Providence officiating, followed by burial there. M.J. TOWERY, 76, of Seattle, Wash., who was born and reared in Crittenden county, near Shady Grove, died at 6 a.m. Saturday in a Seattle hospital following a stroke. Surviving are a son, Warren M. Towery, Seattle; and six sisters, Mrs. J.E. McCONNELL of Shady Grove, Mrs. A.C. DRENNAN of Charleston, Mo., Mrs. T.W. CHAMPION of Ardmore, Okla., Miss Dixie Towery, near Shady Grove, Mrs. Ralph LITTLE of Evansville, and Mrs. D.D. BRANTLEY of Providence. Funeral and burial were in Seattle. Mary Ann TOWERY, daughter born Sept. 17 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Towery of Hopkinsville in Jennie Stuart Hospital there died eleven hours after birth. Burial was in Hopkinsville Thursday. Survivors besides the parents, who formerly lived here, are a brother, Robert Allen Towery. Mrs. Towery is the former Miss Mary ALLEN.

Mrs. Mary Jane TOWERY, 87, widow of Collie Hill Towery, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at her home in the Old Quinn section in Caldwell county, following several months illness. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Shady Grove. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Alta Towery, Dalton; a son, Shellie C. Towery, Dalton; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, T.F. TRAYLOR of East Prairie, Mo., and Euell Traylor of Wheatcroft. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Baptist Church in Shady Grove, with the Rev. Edward WOODALL of Hopkinsville and the Rev. Harold CHRISTIAN of Sullivan officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Sarah Louvenia (Sallie) TOWERY, 82, of Clay, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday in Cardwell's Clinic in Providence where she had been a patient for several days. Mrs. Towery was the oldest member of Clay First Baptist church. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star, Dixon chapter. Surviving are one son, Aubrey HEATH, of San Antonio, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. A.A. BRINSON of Clay; two half-sisters, Mrs. Leona HERRON of Evansville and Miss Bessie DUNKLEY of Clay; and a granddaughter who lives in San Pedro, Calif. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Clay, with Dr. C.O. SIMPSON officiating, assisted by the pastor, the Rev. G.R. ABERNATHY. Burial was in Rock Springs cemetery near Wheatcroft.

Mrs. Agnes BARNHILL TOWNSEND, 59, wife of Charlie Townsend, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday following a heart attack at her home near Providence. Mrs. Townsend was born near Providence, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Barnhill, and spent all her life in this section. Her father died when she was ten years old and her mother earlier. She was a member of the First Baptist church and was active in its Woman's Missionary Society. Survivors are the husband, and a sister, Mrs. Nannie WALLER, Sunnymeade, Calif. Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist church, with the Rev. Benjamin CONNAWAY officiating. Pallbearers were Wesley McGAW, Madisonville; Tom, Leslie, Charlie, and David R. Barnhill, and Roy ALLEN. Burial was in Big Hill cemetery.

PIKE, Dixon; four brothers, Martin, David, Steven, and Ernest; and four sisters, Sue, Minnie Lois, Camilla and Carolyn, all of Dixon. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Church of Christ in Poole, with the Rev. Melvin REESE, of Lynndale, Tenn., officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove cemetery, Poole.

Harold H. TOWNSEND, 54, prominent Webster county farmer, died at 7:05 p.m. Sunday in Welborn Baptist Hospital in Evansville. His home was at Liberty on Providence rural route. Surviving are the wife, Leona; two daughters, Mrs. Charles OVERBY of Dixon and Mrs. D.W. RILEY of Madisonville; three grandchildren; a half-brother, Hubert Townsend, Daytona Beach, Fla.; and two sisters, Mrs. Hampton RAMSEY, Providence, and Mrs. Harmon HUGHES, Henderson. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Star Hope Church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Oscar DUNCAN officiated. Burial was in Star Hope cemetery.

John Lewis TOWNSEND, former resident of Webster county, died at 7 p.m. Sunday in Warren, Ariz., where he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Katherine HEAD. He had been here on a two weeks' visit with his son, James H. Townsend, and had arrived home just two hours before his death. Mr. Townsend, a native of Webster county, moved to Madisonville 50 years ago and went to Arizona seven years ago. He would have been 91 years old on December 2. Surviving are the son, James H. Townsend, Providence; three daughters, Mrs. Head, Mrs. C.W. RANES, and Mrs. Richard HALL, of Warren, Ariz.; a brother, T.M. Townsend, Providence; a sister, Mrs. W.T. CLAYTON, Providence; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The body will arrive in Providence this morning and will be at Melton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Madisonville, where he had been a member for forty years. Burial will be in Eastlawn cemetery, near Hanson.

services were to be held at 3 p.m. today in the General Baptist church in Clay, with the Rev. Charles HOWARD of Henderson

Mrs. Pearl TOWNSEND, 45, wife of Alvie Townsend, prominent Dixon merchant, died at her home in Dixon Wednesday. Although
Mrs. Townsend had been in poor health for the past two years, her death was unexpected and came as a distinct shock to her family
and friends. Survivors are the husband; one son, Maurice Townsend, a foster son, Dorris Townsend, at home; two sisters, Mrs.
Bertha MELTON of Poole and Mrs. Addison GRAYSON of Evansville; three brothers, Edmond ALLEN and V.H. Allen, both of Poole,
and Roy Allen of Salt Lake City, Utah; and stepmother, Mrs. Elizabeth LUKINS, Indianapolis, Ind. Funeral services will be held
at 3 p.m. Friday in the Church of Christ in Poole, with the Rev. B.G. HOPE of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., officiating. Burial will be in
