Mrs. Cora Alma THOMAS, 75, died at 12:10 p.m. Friday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph GILL, on Montgomery avenue,
after a long illness which followed a stroke. Survivors besides the daughter are two sons, E.H. Thomas of Evansville, and
Phillip Thomas of Providence; four sisters, Mrs. J.B. ALLEN, Providence, Mrs. Ed PERRY, Marion, Mrs. Mendozen HUFFMAN,
Nashville, Tenn., and Mrs. E.J. SHEEKS, Hutchinson, Kan.; two brothers, Will DEBOE, Providence, and Hugh Deboe, Cotton
Plant, Ark.; ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the
Cumberland Presbyterian church, with the Rev. C.W. DUFFER officiating. Burial was in Mapleview cemetery, Marion.

Mrs. Hannah FORSYTHE THOMAS, 84, died at 3:30 this morning in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert L. HUNTER on East Main street. She had been in ill health for some time with a heart ailment and her condition grew worse several days ago. Mrs. Thomas was born in Hawesville in August, 1861, and moved to Providence at the age of twenty. She was married to John A. Thomas, who died thirty years ago. For many years she had been a member of the Methodist church. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Hunter and Mrs. E.N. SCKER, Canton, Ohio; a son, John Thomas, Lansing, Mich.; four grandchildren; and a brother, R.L. Forsythe, Providence. Funeral services will be conducted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hunter at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. T.G. HACKNEY, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Big Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Ellen THOMAS, 80, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Willie DRENNON, in Wheatcroft, following a five weeks' illness. Survivors besides Mrs. Drennon are two other daughters, Mrs. Hattie CLARK, Wheatcroft, and Mrs. Mary BESHEARS, Marion; two sons, Curby Thomas, Princeton, and John Harvey Thomas, Evansville; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie TRAVIS, Marion, and Mrs. Lula Thomas, Clarkton, Mo.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Iona CAMPBELL and Mrs. Cordie SUTTON, Marion; one half-brother, Myrtle McDOWELL, Idaho; 26 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Pleasant Hill church in Crittenden county, with the Rev. J.J. JAMES officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Alice THOMASON, 87, died at 2 a.m. Thursday at her home on South Broadway. Surviving are the husband, Daniel Boone Thomason; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Rose Creek church, with the Rev. G.A. HESTER officiating. Burial was in Rose Creek cemetery.

James P. THOMASSON, 72, of Onton, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Tillman PERRIN, after an illness of several weeks. Survivors are the wife, Naomi; three daughters, Mrs. Perrin and Mrs. Girard LITTLE, of Onton, and Mrs. Marvin PARKER, Evansville; three sons, J.P. and Billie, of Onton, and Emerson, Evansville; a sister, Mrs. Pearl THOMPSON, Onton; a brother, Leon Thomasson, Newark, N.J.; and six grandchildren. Johnny THOMASSON, 59, of Sebree, died Friday in the Veterans Hospital at Marion, Ill. Surviving are the father, Price; and two brothers, Lloyd and Strother, all of Sebree. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Springfield Funeral Home in Sebree, with the Rev. Ray THOMPSON officiating. Burial was in Springdale cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice THOMPSON, 27, who died at 7:15
Thursday morning at her home in Clay, were held Friday afternoon at
Hopewell church. The Rev. E.G. SISK officiated, with burial in
I.O.O.F. cemetery, Clay. Mrs. Thompson had been ill for eighteen
months. Survivors are the husband, Willie Thompson; a daughter, Mary
Nell; a son, John Daniel; her father, John BECKNER, near Clay; four
sisters, Mrs. Ercel WILLIAMS of Springfield, Ill., Mrs. Tom DAVIS of
the Clay country, Mrs. W.L. DEVINE of Dixon, and Mrs. Leonard CASH of
Evansville; and four brothers, Cleo, Charlie, and Leonard Beckner of
Clay, and Clarence Beckner of Evansville.

James Mack THOMPSON, 77, former Webster county resident, died Sept. 4 at his home in the Farmersville community in Caldwell county. He was a member of the Methodist church in Shady Grove. Survivors are the wife, the former Mary Mae CROWELL; six sons, Ben, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, Willie of Lawndale, Calif., John of Clay, Frank and Robert, at home, and Woodrow, of Detroit, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Jack TINSLEY, of Detroit, Mrs. Carl TRAYLOR, Princeton route, and Mrs. S.A. BECKNER, Princeton; and eleven grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the home Sept. 6 by the Rev. J. Lester McGEE, assisted by the Rev. H.G. M. HATLER, and burial was in Meeks cemetery.

Omer B. THOMPSON, 78, died at 11:05 a.m. Sunday at his home in Onton. Survivors are the wife, Pearl; a daughter, Mrs. Oma Lee STATON, of Evansville; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Methodist Church in Onton, with the Rev. J.R. RANDOLPH of Dixon officiating, assisted by the Rev. Leslie CHAPMAN. Burial was in Onton cemetery.

T.L. THORNBERRY, 76, prominent farmer, died at his home in Poole at 5:30 a.m. Friday after several weeks' illness. Survivors are the wife, Gertie; one daughter, Mrs. J.M. SLOWKOWSKI, of Louisville; five sons, W.L. and E.T. of Henderson; H.H. of Urbana, Ill., Frank and Roy B. Thornberry of Corydon; two sisters, Mrs. Hester CROWLEY and Miss Lydia Thornberry, Poole; three brothers, P.R. of Detroit, Mich., James of Sebree, and W.H. Thornberry of Poole; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday in the General Baptist church in Poole, with the Rev. E.Y. LASLIE officiating. Pallbearers were Harrison Crowley, Klee RALEIGH, Harvey Banks DENTON, Aude POOLE, Hugh MELTON, and James CONNELLY. Burial was in Shady Grove cemetery, Poole.

Funeral services for Will THORNBERRY, 61, former resident of Poole, will be held at 2 a.m. Friday at Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, where the body arrived Wednesday. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery, Poole. Mr. Thornberry, son of the late Dr. Will Thornberry, died last Thursday night in a veterans' hospital in Los Angeles, California. Mrs. Lucy THRELKELD, 80, of Princeton, formerly of Providence, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. R.S.
McGEHEE and Mr. McGehee in Princeton. Surviving besides the daughter are a brother, James MERRITT of Sturgis, nieces and
nephews. A grandson, James McGehee of Evansville, died the same day while undergoing heart surgery at Mayo Clinic in
Rochester, Minn. Funeral services for Mrs. Threlkeld will be held at 10 a.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Princeton, with the
Rev. H.D. KNIGHT officiating, assisted by the Rev. Claud Threlkeld of the White Oak section. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery,

Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth (Betty) THRELKELD, 79, wife of the late S.K. Threlkeld, died at her home in Providence at 10 a.m. Sunday. Mrs. Threlkeld had been in declining health for some time but had been seriously ill only since Wednesday. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gilbert KNIGHT and Mrs. Edward OWEN of Detroit; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Gregg HEARON of Wheatcroft, and Mrs. Waymon GRAY of Detroit; seven grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the General Baptist Church in Providence at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the pastor, the Rev. J.O. STEWART, officiating. The body was then taken to the White Oak General Baptist church where the service was continued by the Rev. Claud Threlkeld. Burial was in White Oak cemetery.

Mrs. Sophia THRELKELD, 85, of Providence, died at 5 p.m. Thursday in a Hopkinsville Hospital. She was the widow of Iley Threlkeld. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Allen WATSON and was a member of White Oak General Baptist Church. Surviving are a brother, Joe Watson, San Diego, Calif.; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in White Oak church. The Rev. W.M. FRISBY officiated, assisted by the Rev. L.W. PATTERSON. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Dr. J.D. TIMMONS, 89, of Hanson, father of Mrs. Emerson REYNOLDS of Slaughters, died Sunday at his home in Hanson. Dr. Timmons had practiced sixty years in Hanson when he retired several years ago. Survivors besides Mrs. Reynolds are the widow; two grandchildren, Jimmy CALLIS, medical student in the University of Louisville, and Miss Betty Callis, home economics instructor in Hanson High School; and a brother, V.H. Timmons of Ashbyburg. Funeral services were conducted at Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville Monday afternoon, with the Rev. A.L. FRASER of Livermore officiating. Burial was in West Lawn cemetery, Hanson.

J.E. TIMMONS, who was one hundred years old on Dec. 23, 1945, died at 11:45 p.m. Friday in the home of his son, Jerome Timmons, in Sebree. He was born in Hopkins county on Dec. 23, 1845, son of George Edward and Eliza Timmons, and was the oldest of eight children. His grandfather, George Timmons, fought with George WASHINGTON during the Revolutionary War and was with him at Valley Forge. "Uncle Dick," as he was known, tried to enlist for service in the Confederate army during the War Between the States, but was turned down because of a physical disability. He moved to Texas when a young man but returned to Sebree 60 years ago. He was in the nursery business, then in mercantile business with his son, and later again entered the nursery business, from which he retired a few years ago. He was a devout Christian and an untiring temperance worker. Besides his son, survivors are a granddaughters, Mrs. Ruth JOHNSTON, Lewisport; a grandson, J. Darrel Timmons, Henderson; and a sister, Mrs. Eunice BELL, 92, Decatur, Tex. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Springfield Funeral Home in Sebree, and burial was in Springdale cemetery.

James Edward TIMMONS, 76, retired farmer, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday in his home in Slaughters following a lingering illness. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Ethel Timmons and Mrs. Charles FRASER of Slaughters; and a sister, Mrs. Effie MANARD, Cape Girardeau, Mo. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Groves Chapel, near Slaughters, with the Rev. T.O. KYLE officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Indianapolis, and Mrs. Elsie BARTZ of Detroit; three sons, Chester of Slaughters rural route, Victor, Jr., of Ashbyburg; and Ike
Timmons of Detroit; eighteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at New Salem
Methodist Church near Slaughters, with the Rev. C.C. CORNELIUS and the Rev. W.E. JARBOE officiating. Burial will be in the
