Ervin SADLER, 49, formerly of Onton, died suddenly Sunday in his hotel room in Denver, Colo., following a heart attack. Survivors are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.S. Sadler, Onton; a daughter, Mrs. Jean WINCHESTER, Wayne, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Wilma ASHBY and Mrs. Dean TURLEY, of Onton; two brothers, Rudy and Malcolm, of Detroit, Mich.; and two grandchildren. The body arrived at Springfield Funeral Home in Sebree Wednesday morning and was taken to the parents' home in Onton to await funeral services. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Onton Methodist Church, with the Rev. Leslie CHAPMAN officiating. Burial will be in Onton cemetery.

Ben SALLEE, 56, died at 11 a.m. Sunday in his home in Sebree following a year's illness. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Dalcie JOHNSON, Providence; Mrs. Evadean LEACH and Mrs. Ernestine HITE, Evansville; Mrs. Saverne HAWKINS, Mrs. Jessie TODD, and Mrs. Mary SCOTT, Sebree; and two sons, Elzie and Leroy Sallee of Sebree. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Pentecostal Mission in Sebree. Burial was in Springdale cemetery, Sebree. Providence Journal-Enterprise, Thursday, December 20, 1945.
Mrs. Ella SAMUELS, 78, formerly of Clay, died Monday morning in Owensboro. Survivors are three brothers, Ed and Walter MATTINGLY of Clay, and Bert Mattingly of Hanson; a sister, Mrs. Ed PROW of Clay; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Grove Church, with the Rev. Guy MOORE officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Edward SANDAL, 73, of Chicago, husband of the former Mrs. Willie RICE of Clay, died in Garfield Park Hospital in Chicago Friday morning. The only known survivor is the wife, Mrs. Willie Rice Sandal, of Chicago. The body was brought Sunday to Franklin and Edwards Funeral Home in Clay where funeral services were held at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon, with Dr. C.O. SIMPSON officiating. Relatives here have been informed of the death in Orlando, Fla., of Mrs. Grace SANFORD, the former Grace FUGATE, who lived in Providence a number of years ago. Survivors are her mother, Mrs. Susan Fugate; one daughter Mrs. Albert POTEETE, Orlando; four sisters, Misses Mayme, Lena, and Verdie Fugate, and Mrs. Ruby RICE of Orlando; and three brothers, Clem Fugate, St. Louis, Mo., Hershel Fugate, Jacksonville, Fla., and Burl Fugate, Orlando, Fla. Funeral and burial were in Orlando.

Mrs. Vivian SARGENT, 50, formerly of Providence, died Monday at her home in St. Louis, Mo. Surviving are the husband, Joe; five daughters, Mrs. Evelyn HAMILTON, Mrs. Elnora HAHN, Mrs. Maxine HOOD, and Mrs. Ona TEER, of St. Louis, and Mrs. Madalyn KILLOUGH, of Providence; her mother, Mrs. Grady LOVAN, of Sullivan; three brothers, Roy Lovan, of Madisonville, Thela Lovan, of Wheatcroft, and Nolan Lovan, of St. Louis; four sisters, Mrs. Delia DORRIS, of Providence, Mrs. Connie OWENS and Mrs. Sigmore EDMONSON, of St. Louis, and Miss Sybil Lovan, of Sullivan; and nine grandchildren. The body was returned to the home of her mother in Sullivan. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at White Oak church, with the Rev. Richard VOVEL, of St. Louis, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Marie WHITLEDGE SAUCIER, 40, wife of Sam Saucier, died at 3 a.m. Monday at her home in Sturgis. Mrs. Saucier moved
from Clay to Sturgis fifteen years ago. She had taught dramatics in the Clay school and in the Sturgis school. She was a member
of the Sturgis Methodist church. Survivors besides the husband are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Whitledge of Clay; a brother
Mason Whitledge S2c, Great Lakes, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Jerry BENTHALL, Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Mansel HARRIS, Warner

Monday afternoon to the home of her parents in Clay and remained there until time for the funeral which was held at 10 a.m.
Wednesday in the Clay Methodist church. The Rev. T.B. WILLIAMS, pastor of the Sturgis Methodist church, officiated. Burial

Funeral services for Miss Wilma Frances SCARBROUGH, 15, who died Tuesday of last week of a heart ailment in a Lexington hospital, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Slaughters Methodist Church. The pastor, the Rev. A.N. YANCEY, officiated, and burial was in the WHITSELL addition of Slaughters cemetery. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Scarbrough; brother, James, and sister, Miss Thelma Scarbrough, all of Royalton. The family formerly lived in Slaughters.

Frederick SCHANEBACH, 70, died at 7 a.m. Thursday at his home near Dixon. Surviving are the wife, Dora; one son, John H. Schanebach, of Henderson; two daughters, Mrs. Everett B. SIGLER, Henderson, and Mrs. Pilot DUNCAN, Indianapolis, Ind.; and one sister, Mrs. Virgie TODD, Dixon. Funeral services were held at Cedar Grove church at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. W.W. OAKLEY officiating. Burial was in Cedar Grove cemetery.

William H. SCHNEIDER, 31, who lived on Pine street in Providence, died about 11 o'clock Saturday night in Sturgis Hospital after being struck by an automobile as he changed a tire on his car on Highway 85 between Clay and Wheatcroft. Driver of the car which struck him was James BELOW, whose home is in Union county between Boxville and Pride. Sheriff Carmon PULLAM and State Trooper Leroy POOLE, who investigated, said reports that the man was struck by a hit-run driver were false. They said Mr. Below called an ambulance, waited at the scene until they arrived, gave them details of the accident, and went to the hospital to offer any further assistance. The officers said Mr. Below told them he was blinded by lights of an approaching automobile and did not see Mr. Schneider, who was changing the tire on his car which was parked on the right hand side of the road, part on the pavement. He and other witnesses told them, they said, that there were no lights on the parked car. No charges were placed against Mr. Below. Mr. Schneider is survived by the wife, Nellie; two sons, William Hugh and James Randall; a daughter, Deanna Lee; his father, Hugh Schneider, Evansville; a brother, Herman, Evansville; and three sisters, Mrs. Julia JONES and Miss Mildred Schneider of Evansville, and Mrs. Evelyn LUTZ of Baltimore. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Johann Memorial Temple in Evansville, and burial was in Park Lawn cemetery, Evansville.

Francis M. SCOTT, 77, died at 3 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, at his home near Sebree. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Clyde BUCHANAN of Robards, Mrs. Charles BROOKS, near Slaughters, and Mrs. C.E. STEELE of Sebree; five sons, Jesse of Sebree, John of Henderson, Barney of Beech Grove, Alvie of Hanson, and Carl of Detroit; 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Va; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Scott and Mrs. Noah SCARSBOROUGH, of Evansville; one sister, Mrs. I.E. HARRALSON, Madisonville; five brothers, Aubrey of Hanson, Shelby of Robards, Shelley of Ashbysburg, Hassel of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Arlie of Murray; and twelve grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Sebree First Baptist Church, with the Rev. HENDRICKS officiating. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery, Sebree. Will SEAY, 81, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the home of a son, Roy Seay, near Slaughters. Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Harry SANDEFUR of Evansville and Mrs. Jewel EDWARDS of Sebree; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Springfield Funeral Home in Sebree, with the Rev. G. Edward HENRY officiating. Burial was in Springdale cemetery, Sebree.

Bob SEITZ, 72, died at his home in Hanson Monday morning. He is survived by his wife, Laura; one daughter, Mrs. Jack BLUE, near Slaughters; three sons, Thomas and Gilbert, of Detroit, and W.A., of Madisonville. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Slaughters Methodist church, with the Rev. T.O. KYLE and the Rev. PERKINS officiating. Burial was in Slaughters cemetery.

Funeral services for John B. SEITZ, 74, were held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the General Baptist church in Poole. The Rev. E.H. HARTFORD and the Rev. Charles WILLIAMS officiated, and burial was in Shady Grove cemetery, Poole. Mr. Seitz, a retired farmer, died Tuesday night, July 27, at his home near Sebree. Surviving are the wife, Lucy; nieces and nephews.

Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lillian ASHBY, between
Poole and Sebree. Besides the daughter, he is survived by three
grandchildren. Funeral services were to be held at the home at 2
o'clock this afternoon, with burial in Oak Grove cemetery, Poole.

Claude SEVERIN, 74, died Wednesday of last week at his home in Morganfield after an illnes of more than a year. Mr. Severin was born and reared in Dixon where he spent most of his life until he moved to Morganfield. He was married to Miss Estye HALL of Dixon in 1908 by Judge A.C. WATSON at the home of the Rev. and Mrs. E.G. SISK. Survivors are the wife; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie WINSTEAD of Dixon; a brother, Eugene Severin of Dixon; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Methodist church in Morganfield where he was a member and a steward of the church. The pastor, the Rev. R.B. PRENTIS officiated.
