Jane Sellers McBroom was born 20 May 1928 in Webster County Kentucky, the child of Henry Mattison Sellers, 1901-1959, and Effie Marie Littlepage, 1901-1989. Although Jane lived in Indiana most of her adult life, her heart was always in Webster County.

Jane was an ardent supporter of the Webster County KYGenWeb site from its inception in April 1996. She has contributed enormous amounts of data in the form of obituaries, headstone photos, and family data and photos to the site. Jane was quick to respond to queries on the Webster County Message Board and she was always eager to help people just starting to research their family history. Jane was a delightful person; we all loved her and miss her very much.

Together with her sister-in-law Betty Sellers, Jane worked on numerous projects relating to family history in Webster and Henderson County. Jane and Betty did the typing for James Blue and Donald Hazelwood's 875-page "1911-1992 Henderson County Death Records". Jane also retyped the Henderson County Genealogical Society's cemetery book "Gone But Not Forgotten" with corrections and additions. Jane was the author of "Memory Hill - Sellers Family and allied Families of Webster County, Kentucky".
