Debbie enjoys a hike and visit with son, Mason, who was home on leave from Ft. Bragg, North Carolina where he served as a "Rigger" for the 82nd Airborne Div.

Debbie found it fascinating when she realized that her Great Grandpa Thee had fought for the C.S.A. in the Civil War right here in Kentucky not far from Ft. Knox where Mason had gone through Boot Camp.

Debbie is proud of all of her family members' military service, from the first Burton who came from England and fought in the Revoutinary War, to her son, Mason, who served during Operation Enduring Freedom and is still a member of the 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne), West Virginia National Guard, Kenova, West Virginia.
