Apparently, after the Edwards stone had become disattached from the base it became covered with dirt over the years. John was told by Ronnie Oakley that he had discovered the stone a little over a year ago when he noticed the base and started digging around behind it. Ronnie was the person who had placed the mystery flowers on the grave. Here is a good closeup of the stone before it was replaced on the base. |
