Rachel Russell married Henry Wise 9 Jul 1818 in Bullitt Co., KY and they became the parents of eleven children.

The family is listed in the 1850 Jefferson Co., KY census and they moved to what is now Webster County in 1853.

Rachel Wise died in 1855. She and her husband Henry were the great-great-grandparents of Frank Melton.
