Minerva (Orsburn) Sellars was the daughter of Randolph Orsburn and Franey (Mooney) Orsburn.

Minerva married Elijah Sellars Sr. (1826-1913), the son of Isham Sellars and Lydia Barr and they became the parents of ten children.
