Kenneth C. and Virginia (Kitty) Brooks will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, August 21.

Kenneth and the former Kitty Brown were married August 27, 1949 at Bennett Memorial Methodist Church in Owensboro by the Reverend Carl McGee. They were attended by Joe Brown and Robert Brown, brothers of the bride.

They are the parents of three children, Jimmy Brooks, Martha Brooks, and Cheryle Wiggins, all of Sebree. They also have six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
