Marlin and Betty Mooney will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary March 17, 1999. Mooney and the former Betty Crider were married March 17, 1949 at the manse of the First Baptist Church in Morganfield, Kentucky by the Rev. R. Truitt Miller. Attendants were Leamon Holloman and Irene Dunbar.

Mrs. Mooney is the daughter of the late Harley and Fannie Crider. Mooney is the son of the late Elby and Katie Mooney. They are the parents of two daughters.
