The Sebree Banner reports on the 1998 Herron Reunion. The article is quoted here with permission of the Banner."Descendants of Lorenzo (L.D.) and Lois Ann (Hobgood) Herron gathered for a family reunion on Thursday, August 20, at Catfish Campus in Madisonville.
The group enjoyed fellowship and the food.
L.D. and Lois Ann raised ten children in the Slaughters-Sebree area and they all lived until retirement age. Three of the 10 children are still living and they are: Joe D.Herron and Jeff (J.R.) Herron, both of Madisonville and Pansy Herron Boyd Patterson of Florida.
Attending the reunion were children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Attending from Madisonville were Joe and Lucille Herron, J.R. and Nancy Herron, Florence and Joe Goodman, Letha DeMoss, Rhonda Goodman Herron, Charity, Clint and Daniel. Kathy Goodman Hamilton of Hanson, Wallace and Rita Herron Duncan, Cindy, Jimmy, Jennifer, Barbara and Leslie Goff, Norman Herron and Elsie Herron Couch, all of Slaughters.
Bill and Lena Boyd Hanebutt, Cecelia Boyd and Lance of Evansville, Indiana, Shannon and Steve Stewart of Newburgh, Indiana, Sharon Proctor, Haubstadt, Indiana, John and Betty Herron, Greenwood, Indiana and Brenda Couch Lowe of Cecelia. Cousins of the family attending were Will and Ida Herron Foster, Edward and Maude Knight Presley and Elvis and Susan Knight of Madisonville.
Pansy and J.R. enjoyed a visit with high school friends, Juanita E. Townsend of Evansville and John R. Jones, Slaughters."
