82 Attend Borum Family Reunion
Around 1889 some Onton farmers advertised for help wanted for summer work. Harden Joshua Borum, his brother, Samuel H. Borum, and nephew of the Borum brothers, William Fuller, answered the call for help.

They left Tennessee for Kentucky and arrived in Onton and remained in Onton as they fell in love with three girls there. Harden was head over heels in love with Claudia Hancock; Samuel couldn't face life without Ivory Thomasson and Will Fuller only had eyes for Verna Branson.

The first reunion for this family was in Tennessee in 2002. The second reunion was held July 19 at Atkinson Park in Henderson with 82 people attending from Webster, Hopkins and Henderson Counties and from Alabama, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee and Kentucky.

A good time was had by all and plans are being made for the third reunion next year.
