This is a picture of the Hobdy home on
their farm at
Middleton
,
KY.
The farm was bought by Joseph Cotton Hobdy from the
Taylor
brothers and this picture was taken ca 1886. The older couple on the left is
Thomas Hampton and America Salmons Hampton. Fannie Wilkins lived with them
before her marriage to Joseph Cotton Hobdy. Joseph Cotton Hobdy is holding his
daughter Mary Hobdy, born June 20, 1884. Standing next to him is Fannie
Wilkins Hobdy with her step daughter Cora Hobdy. The boy behind them is
unidentified.
