GEORGE PERDUE, who lived four miles southeast of Port­land, died Monday of heart failure, aged 84 years. He was buried Tues­day at Mount Moriah. His widow, three sons and a daughter survive.

Funeral Services Held Monday For Mrs. Annie Perry - Funeral services were held Monday for a native and lifelong resident of Simpson Co, Mrs Annie Morie PERRY, who died Saturday evening.  She was 87. - Mrs. Perry, ill only a short while, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rosie GANT, on north Main Street.  Services were conducted at the Mount Vernon Baptist Church by brother Lloyd Barnard, Scottsville.  Burial was in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. PERRY was the daughter of the late Wilson and Hannah PARRISH PERRY. Surviving are: besides Mrs GANT, four other daughters; Mrs. Commie GASS, Franklin, Addie PERRY, Bucyrus, Ohio, Mrs. Jack DUNCAN, Trammell, KY, and Mrs. Willard ALFORD, Drake KY.;  three sons; Fletcher PERRY, Paul PERRY, and Thurman PERRY, all of Simpson Co; three brothers; Delbert PERRY and Bud PERRY, both of Franklin, and Grover PERRY, Eugalle Florida; three sisters; Mrs. Nell WIMS and Mrs. Hattie DENSON, both of Franklin, and Mrs. Callie STAMPS, Scottsville.

Dr. E. N. Perry, 88, of Richmond, died Wednesday, March 23, 1988 at Richmond after a lengthy illness. A native of Simpson Co, he was the son of the late Albert "Bud" Perry and Queen Victoria Gammell, and a retired Baptist minister.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Perry; one son, E. N. Perry, Jr. of Michigan and several local nieces and nephews.

Fletcher PERRY, 88, of Franklin. Died Dec. 15 at the Franklin-Simpson Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Services were held Dec. 17 at Crafton Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Hoover and Rev. Ernest Neagle officiating. Burial was at Shady Grove. A native of Simpson Co, he was the son of the late William Henry And Annie Perry. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margie Stephens Perry of Franklin; on son, William Perry of Franklin; one daughter, Mrs. Naomi Gomer of Franklin, one brother, Paul Perry of Portland, TN; one sister, Mrs. Jack Duncan of Scottsville; five grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

BELOVED WOMAN DIES FROM PARALYTIC STROKE

Was 85 Years of Age and the Widow of a Gallant Soldier

Mrs. Hannah PERRY, age 85 years and widow of Wilson PERRY, gallant Confederate Soldier, died at her home near Hickory Flat, Tuesday morning, following a paralytic stroke suffered Saturday before, and from which she never regained consciousness. Mrs. PERRY was a devout Christian and greatly beloved by a wide circle of friends. Her husband died 21 years ago and she is survived by 5 sons, Messer. Owen PERRY, Bud PERRY, A. E. PERRY, and Delbert PERRY, this county, and Grover PERRY of Springfield; and five daughters, Mrs. John DENSON, Mrs. Levi STAMPS, Mrs. Jeff RIPPY, Mrs. Henry PERRY, of Simpson County, and Mrs. Fannie BOWLES, of Colorado. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 o'clock Wednesday Morning at Mckendree Chapel by Rev. Ernest N. PERRY, of Mayfield, a grandson.

James Ralph Perry, 80, of Portland, Tenn., died Jan. 23, 2004 at Skyline       Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services were held Jan. 26 at Crafton Funeral Home with burial at Greenlawn Cemetery. The Simpson County Honor Guard conducted military rites. Crafton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Perry was a Simpson County native, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was involved in the Battle of the Bulge, a member of the First Baptist    Church in Portland and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Portland. He was the son of the late Modest and Mary Snider Perry. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Williams Perry; one daughter, Sandra Perry Miller of Portland; one brother, Snider Perry of Franklin; two sisters, Margaret Reece and Helen Farley both of Franklin, several nieces and nephews.

Lindell J. Perry, 65, of Franklin, died Jan. 21, 2004 at his residence. Funeral services were held Jan. 24 at Mt. Pleasant General Baptist Church in Cottontown, Tenn. with burial at the church cemetery. The Rev. David Youngblood and The Rev. Clayton Hall officiated. Crafton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements Perry was a native of Bernie, Mo., a member and deacon for 12-years at Mt. Pleasant General Baptist Church and president for Perry and Son Construction for 34-years. He was the son of the late Norman and Wilma Reed Perry. Survivors include his wife, Carol Wells Perry; one son, Wade Perry of Franklin; one daughter, Stacey Watkins of Franklin; two sisters, Pat Hooper of Waterford, Mich. and Sue Weishaar of Pontiac, Mich.; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Portland Man, Madin H. Perry, Dies Saturday - Services for Madin H. Perry, 61, Portland, Tenn., grocery store operator, were held Monday at Booker Funeral Home, Franklin. Burial was at Greenlawn Cemetery, Franklin, with Masonic Rites at the graveside. Perry died Saturday morning at Highland Hospital, after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Bud Perry and Victoria Gammell Perry.  He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Walter Earl Schott, Louisville; one sister, Mrs. Arch Hunt, Franklin; four brothers, Dr. E. N. Perry, Richmond, KY, Marvin Perry, Greenville, KY, Modest Perry, Simpson Co and Melvin Perry, Nashville, and one granddaughter, Crystal N. Schoot, Louisville.

Marvin A Perry Dies In Greenville After Long Illness - Funeral Services for Marvin A. Perry, 75, Greenville, KY, were held at Greenville this past weekend. Burial was also at Greenville. Perry died this last Thursday after a long illness. He was the son of the late Bud and Victoria Perry.  He is survived by his widow, one sister, Mrs. Arch Hunt, Franklin, and three brothers, including Modest Perry, Franklin.

Wife Of Former Resident Dies At Greenville, Ky - Mrs Marvin Perry, age 57, wife of a former resident of Franklin, died Sunday morning at the Greenville Hospital, Following a long illness. Funeral services were conducted Monday Afternoon at the First Church of Christ at Greenville. Burial was at Elkton.  Besides her husband, Mrs Perry is survived by three sons and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Mary Snider PERRY, 84, of Franklin, died Sept. 16 at the Franklin-Simpson Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Services were held Sept. 17 at the Crafton Funeral Home. Burial was at Green Lawn Cemetery. A native of Simpson Co, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Myrtle Wright Snider. Survivors include her husband, Modest PERRY of Franklin; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Farley and Mrs. Margret Reece, both of Franklin; two sons, Ralph Perry of Bethpage, Tenn. and Snider Perry of Portland, Tenn.

Melvin Perry, 77, of Nashville, Tenn., died Nov. 20, 1984 in Nashville after a lengthy illness.  Services were held Nov. 23, at the Eastland Funeral Home, in Nashville, Tenn.  Burial was in Nashville.  A native of Simpson Co, he was the son of the late Bud and Victoria Gammel Perry. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruthie May Ramsey Perry; two daughters, Mrs. June Moran of Franklin, Tenn and Mrs. Patsy Smiley, of Nashville, Tenn. one on, Rev. Mel Perry of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Alma Lee Hunt, of Franklin; two brothers, Modest Perry of Franklin and Rev. Ernest N. Perry, of Richmond, KY.

Modest Perry, 90, of Franklin, died Oct. 5, 1985 at Franklin-Simpson Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Services were held Oct. 7 at Crafton Funeral Home. Burial was at Green Lawn Cemetery.  A native of Simpson Co, he was the son of the late Albert and Queen Victoria Gammel Perry. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Helen Farley and Margret Reece, both of Franklin; two sons, Ralph Perry of Bethpage, Tenn., Snider Perry, of Portland, Tenn.; one sister, Alma Lee Hunt, of Franklin, one Brother, Dr. Ernest N. Perry of Richmond, KY.

Paul Perry, 84, of Portland, formerly of Franklin, died June 20 at Highland Manor Nursing Home in Portland.  Services were held June 22 with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Wilkerson-Wiseman in Portland was in charge of arrangements. He was the son of the late Henry and Annie Perry and the husband of the late Thelma Board Perry.  He was proceeded in death by one daughter Hazel Sue Perry Gregory of Franklin and one son Paul Perry Jr. of Lafayette, TN. Survivors include one son; Jerry Perry of Portland, One sister, Myrtle Duncan of Bowling Green, one niece Betty Turner whom he raised as his own, 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Paul Perry, Jr., 46, of Lafayette TN, died Nov. 5, 1984 following a one-car accident in Macon Co, TN Services were held Nov. 7 at the Alexander Funeral Home in Lafayette, Tenn. with Elder Thomas Earl Roark and Elder Melvin Stinson officiating. Burial was in the Galen Cemetery in Lafayette, Tenn. A native of Simpson Co, he was the son of Paul Perry and Thelma Perry of Franklin, who survive. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Pam Cook, Mrs. Joy Murray and Mrs Cheryl Stanley, all of Franklin and one brother, Jerry Perry of Portland, TN.

- Mrs Thelma PERRY, 73, of Portland, Tenn., died April 13, 1985 at Park View Hospital, In Nashville, Tenn., after a lengthy illness.  Services were held April 15 at Booker Funeral Home with Brother Haskell Akin officiating.  Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery. A native of Warren Co, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Clara McAlester BOARD. She was a member of the MT, Vernon missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Paul Perry of Portland, Tenn; one son Jerry Perry of Portland, Tenn; one sister, Annabelle Perry of Franklin; three brothers, Ernest Board of Warren Co, Porter Board of Allen Co and Clearance Board of Indianapolis, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Joseph Phillips died at her home in the Bethel Grove neighborhood Wednesday of last week of neuralgia at the age of 37 years, and her remains were Interred in Green Lawn cemetery the following day at 2 o'clock, p.m. She was a member of the Christian church and was an excellent lady in every respect. Her Illness was of short duration, though very painful. She was the youngest of a family of 8 children, all of her brothers and sisters now surviving her. With then, and numerous friends, a husband and son are now bowed in grief on account of her departure. They have the sympathy of the Favorite.

Mr. CHARLES F. POTTER died at his home on North ham street at two o’clock last Saturday morning, after an illness of eighteen month’s duration. Mr. Potter was 76 years old and had been twice married. He was a native of Warren county, but in early manhood located on a farm in this county. He followed agricultural pursuits for several years and then moved to town and engaged in the mercantile business. He succeeded handsomely, amassing a nice competency before retiring from active business some eighteen years ago... He was a member of the Presbyterian church... Mr. Potter is survived by a widow and two chil­dren, Mr. HARRY POTTER, of Louisville, and MRS. C. WILLIS POTTOR, of Rich Pond. The funeral took place at the College Street church last Sunday morning, conducted by his pastor, the Rev. [illegible] GOODWIN, and his life-long friend, DR. J. S. GRIDER, of Smith [illegible]... The interment followed in Green Lawn cemetery.
