TRANSCRIPT OF WILL OF SUSAN RONEY, 1901

  I Susan Roney being of sound mind do make this my last will and testament as follows viz:

Item 1st:            I will and bequeath to my sister Sarah Boaz and by niece Sellie Barton my clothes bed and bedding and all my household and kitchen furniture, to be equally divided between them.

Item 2nd:            I will and bequeath to John Boaz one hundred dollars in money.

Item 3rd:            I will and bequeath the remainder of my property of every description including my interest in the Estate of my sister Belle H. Hofsseau dec’d to by three neices Belle Barton, daughter of Sellie Boaz Barton, Lizzie Hines Coleman and Louise Coleman daughter of Lizzie Boaz Coleman dec’d same to be equally divided between said Belle Barton, Lizzie Hines Coleman & Louisa Coleman & to be their separate estte & by them free from the control of any husband either may have and J.H. Coleman the father of Lizzie Hines & Louisa Coleman shall never in any event have or recover any part of said money.

Item 4th:            I hereby appoint J. W. Roark Executor of this my last will & testament at my death I will and direct that he sell and by deed convey upon such ________as he sees best all of my real estate including any interest I may own in my sister Belle Boisseau’s Estate, and after paying cost of administering funeral expenses ______  Hundred Dollars to John H. Boaz he shall pay the remainder to by three neices Belle Barton, Lizzie Hines Coleman & Louisa Coleman.

                                                The foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Susan Roney dec’d, was this day produced in open Court and offered for probate, and the same being proven to be such last will and testament by the oaths of the two subscribing witnesses, G.T. Finn and William Tatham, the same was admitted to probate as such last will and testament of Susan Roney dec’d and as such ordered to record, which is done accordingly.

            This April 15th 1901.
