Jacob Tillman Judy
1795 - 1878
Jacob Tillman Judy, son of George Jacob Judy and Priscilla Howard, born in Frederick County, Maryland, December 27, 1795, and died about 1878, probably Johnson County, Kansas. He was living with his youngest daughter at the taking of the 1870 census. Jacob married about 1818, in Montgomery County, Maryland, Sarah Ann Austin the daughter of James Austin and Nancy Howard. Sarah was born May 22, 1799, Montgomery County, Maryland and died after 1870, probably in Johnson County, Kansas. Jacob and Sarah resided in Montgomery Co., until after October 1822, where his second daughter was born.
Jacob appeared on the 1826 Scott County, Kentucky tax roll from 1826 to 1834. Jacob was in Reddish township, Lewis County, Missouri by 1835. Prior to 1870, Jacob and Sarah moved to near Aubry, Johnson County, Kansas and lived with their daughter and husband, Frances and James Simon Lewis.

December 1, 1819, Montgomery County, Maryland and died April 25, 1907, Lewis
County, Missouri. Anne married 28 October 1836, Allen Poague, born 15 November 1815, Scott County, Kentucky. There has not been a marriage record found for Anne and Allen in Scott County, Ky or Lewis County, Missouri, leaving us to not know where the marriage occurred. Allen took up land adjoining his father-in-law, Jacob Tillman Judy, in Lewis County, Missouri in 1837. Allen was in the Civil War from July 1861 to November 1861, was severely wounded and died in the spring of 1862. Anne remained a widow the rest of her days. They had the nine children: Apperline, James Edward, Louis Polonzo, Sarah Ann, Saluda Gabriella, William Octavus, Martha Ellen, Mary Margaret and Julius Allen. |
