Tab BENTLEY, Daniel Orville, son of Isabel Mullins and Firel Bentley was born at Beefhide, Kentucky on December 23, 1925. He passed from this life at the Whitesburg Hospital on May 5, 1988 making his stay here on earth 62 years, 4 months and 12 days. Orville has been sick since 1965 and real sick for the past year. He was a coal miner by occupation, having worked in and around the mines for about 25 years. Most of this time was with South East Coal Company. Orville was married to Nellean Quillen Bentley at Whitaker, Kentucky on November 20, 1948.
Tab A daughter, Kathy, preceded him in death in 1956. Also preceding him in death were his parents and brother Carl.
Tab Orville is survived by his wife, Nellean and daughters: Laurel Anne, Beverly Isabel and Lana Sue, all at home; Carol Lynn Addington of Beefhide; son: Daniel Bentley of Hallie, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren; sisters: Bernice Wright of Jenkins, Kentucky; Ina Gramke of Cincinnati, Ohio; Callie Blankenship of Argo, Kentucky; Ollie Blankenship of Phelps; Patsy Kiser of Church Hill, TN; brothers: Jimmy of Neon; Rollie, Jasper and MacArthur, all of Beefhide; and a large number of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Tab BENTLEY, Jr., Daniel Orville, died on Saturday, September 21, 1996 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Health Care Center.
Tab Daniel was the son of Nellean Quillen Bentley and the late Daniel Orville Bentley. He was born February 17, 1957, being 39 years, 7 months and 4 days of age at the time of his death.
Tab In addition to his father, Daniel was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathy, in 1956.
Tab He is survived by his wife, Dwana Ann Cornett Bentley; one son: Edwin Narvil Bentley at home; two daughters: Erica Nellean Bentley of Neon and Holly Daniele Bentley at home; four sisters: Carol Addington of Jenkins; Laurel Bentley of Neon; Beverly Hunt of Pikeville; Lana Bentley of Neon.
Tab Funeral services for Daniel Orville Bentley, Jr. were conducted from the Faith Baptist Mission Church at Hallie, Kentucky on Tuesday, September 24, 1996 at 11:00 AM.
Tab The officiating ministers were Bob Caudill, Danny Dixon and Jim Caudill while family members and friends served as pallbearers.
Tab Burial took place in the family cemetary at Hallie, Kentucky. Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg, Kentucky was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Tab QUILLEN, Delzy E., son of Nona Wright Quillen and WIlburn "W. B." Quillen, was born on February 10, 1923 at Jackhorn, Kentucky. He passed from this life at his residence at Jackhorn on February 4, 1986, being only 62 years, 11 months and 24 days of age at his passing.
Tab Delzy was a coal miner employed by the A & E Coal Company. He has worked in the mines for about 40 years.
Tab Delzy was a veteran of World War II and was a prisoner of war for about 19 months, having been captured by the Germans at Salerno, Italy. He served with the U. S. Army with Company D of the 157th Infantry Division.
Tab Delzy was married to Netta Quillen at Whitaker, Kentucky on April 2, 1946.
Tab He is survived by his wife Netta; daughters: Gwen Sherry Quillen of Jackhorn; Brenda Joyce Testa of Westlake, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters: Edith Hall and Gladys Breeding both of Jackhorn; brothers: Denver Quillen of Cleveland, Ohio; Danny Quillen of Fort Worth, Texas. Also surviving are a large, large number of relatives and friends to mourn his passing. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.

Tab QUILLEN, Henry H., son of Susan Adams and Andrew Quillen, was born at Deane, Kentucky on January 14, 1887, passed from this life at the Whitesburg Hospital, January 8, 1973 after a short illness, making his stay here on earth 85 years, 11 months and 24 days. He was married to Martha Bentley who passed away January 4, 1918, later married Leanza Caudill who preceded him in death in January of 1923. He was a miner for some 46 years, the last 24 years with South East Coal Company.
Tab He is survived by his wife Martha Jane Hall Quillen whom he married July 24, 1923 and the following children: Monroe and Daniel Quillen of Neon; Maggie Hughes of Dallas, Texas; Danola Potter of Columbia Station, Ohio; Nettie Quillen of Cleveland, Ohio; Nellean Bentley of Neon; Hattie Bentley of Myra, Kentucky; Delmer Quillen of Jackhorn, Kentucky; Hedy Anne Potter of Cleveland, Ohio; sister: Tishie Wright, Dunham, Kentucky; 22 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a large number of relatives and friends. Son Joe Quillen, daughters Nannie Fields and Betty Jean Quillen preceded him in death.

Tab QUILLEN, Maggie HUGHES, daughter of the late Henry H. Quillen and Leanza Caudill Quillen, was born May 3, 1922 in Whitaker, Kentucky and entered eternal life August 14, 1999 at her home in Garland, Texas.
Tab Maggie was reared by Martha Quillen after the death of her mother in 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Hughes, her parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
Tab Maggie is survived by a son, Bobby Ray Quillen of Richardson, Texas and a daughter, Nola Farris, also of Texas; sisters: Danola Potter and Nellean Bentley, both of Neon; Hattie Tackett of Bean Station, TN; Hedy Anne Potter of Brook Park, Ohio; brother: Delmer Quillen of Neon.
Tab Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins are also left to mourn her passing as well as many friends.

Tab QUILLEN, Martha Jane HALL, daughter of the late Preston and Alice Hall was born at Seco, Kentucky on October 19, 1908. She passed from this life at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital on August 16, 1988 making her stay here on earth 79 years, 9 months and 27 days.
Tab Martha married Henry H. Quillen at Whitesburg, Kentucky on July 24, 1923. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1973. Also preceding her in death were one son, one daughter, three brothers and three sisters.
Tab She has been in poor health for some years and seriously ill since May 1988.
Tab Martha is survived by one son: Delmer Quillen of Kona, Kentucky; daughters: Danola Potter and Nellean Bentley both of Neon, Kentucky; Netta Quillen of Jackhorn, Kentucky; Hattie Tackett of Myra, Kentucky; Hedy Anne Potter of Brook Park, Ohio; step-sons: Monroe and Daniel Quillen both of Neon, Kentucky; step-daughter: Maggie Hughes of Dallas, Texas; half brothers: Thurman, Ronald, Glen and Harold; half sisters: Donna and Rita.
Tab Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great granchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Tab QUILLEN, Netta, daughter of the late Henry H. Quillen and Martha Jane Hall Quillen, was born at Whitaker, Kentucky on January 29, 1929. She passed from this life at the Whitesburg Hospital on February 22, 1993 making her stay here on earth 64 years, 1month and 3 days.
Tab Netta married Delzy E. Quillen at Whitaker, Kentucky on April 2, 1946. Delzy preceded her in death on February 4, 1986. Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Tab Netta was self-employed for over 17 years in the restaurant business and at the same time was a beautician and cosmotologist for well over 25 years. She strived and enjoyed working to please employees and customers.
Tab She wasn't a member of any church, but, when her health allowed, she attended the Hemphill Freewill Baptist Church and the Main Street Church of God.
Tab Netta is survived by daughters: Gwen Sheri Quillen of Jackhorn, Kentucky and Brenda Joyce Becker of Rocky River, Ohio; sisters: Maggie Hughes of Dallas, Texas; Danola Potter and Nellean Bentley, both of Neon, Kentucky; Hattie Tackett of Bean Station, TN; Hedy Anne Potter of Brook Park, Ohio; brothers: Monroe and Daniel Quillen, both of Whitaker, Kentucky; Delmer Quillen of Fleming-Neon, Kentucky.
Tab Also Surviving are 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Tab TAYLOR, Carl, son of Hezekiah and Trula Meade Taylor, was born at Millstone, Kentucky on August 13, 1913. He passed from this life at the Whitesburg Hospital on January 20, 1993, being 79 years, 5 months and 7 days of age at his passing.
Tab Carl was married to Daisy Marie Lawson on October 26, 1935 at Seco, Kentucky. She preceded him in death on September 29, 1991.
Tab He has been a member of the Free Pentecostal Church for over 25 years. He was a retired coal miner, having worked in the mines for 40 years.
Tab Carl is survived by daughters: Evon Becket of Olmsted Falls, Ohio; Carlene Hall of Seco, Kentucky; Greta Joseph of Louisville, Kentucky; sons: Jim Taylor of Springfield, Ohio; Eddy Taylor of Goose Creek, Kentucky; Larry Taylor of Xenia, Ohio; sisters: Samantha Moore of Pound, Virginia; Georgia Goodman of Indianapolis, Indiana; half sisters: Virginia Ruth of Bristol, Virginia; Vivian of California; half brother: Jimmy C. Taylor of Saint Paul, Virginia and a large number of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Tab TAYLOR, Daisy Marie, daughter of the late John and Golden Shoemaker Lawson was born in Dorchester, Virginia on March 10, 1918. She passed from this life at the Jenkins Community Hospital, Jenkins, Kentucky on September 29, 1991 making her stay here on earth 73 years, 6 months and 19 days.
Tab Daisy has been in declining health for several years but her passing was sudden and unexpected.
Tab Daisy married Carl Taylor at Seco, Kentucky on October 26, 1935.
Tab She loved working in her flowers and was a loving mother and wife. She has been a member of the Fleming Free Pentecostal Church for a number of years and has believed since her childhood.
Tab Daisy is survived by her husband, Carl, of Seco; daughters: Evon Beckett of Olmsted Falls, Ohio; Carlene Hall of Whitaker, Kentucky; Greta Joseph of Louisville, Kentucky; sons: Jim Taylor of Springfield, Ohio; Eddie Taylor of Whitaker, Kentucky; Larry Taylor of Xenia, Ohio; sisters: Lillie Cain of Dayton, Ohio; Mary Quillen of Whitaker, Kentucky; Pauline Lawson of Dayton, Ohio; Rosemond Wright of Beefhide, Kentucky; brother: John Lawson, Jr. of Sarrento, Florida.
Tab Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Tab WRIGHT, Sarah E., was born July 8, 1890. Deceased from this life December 11, 1984. Making her stay on earth 94 years, 4 months and 11 days.
Tab She was the daughter of Eliza Jane and Solomon Wright who preceded her in death. In 1912 she married Austin Brown Wilfong who preceded her in death. To this union were born 3 sons.
Tab In 1915 she gave here hear to God and was a member of the Neon Free Pentecostal Church of God for many years. She lived in Ermine for many years where she was a friend to all who knew her. For the last 17 years she has made her home with her son, Virgil of Columbia Station, Ohio. She attended the Church of God in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a great believer of going to church serving the Lord. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Tab She leaves to mourn her passing 3 sons: Virgil of Columbia Station, Ohio; Clyde of Center, Texas; and Randy of Parma, Ohio; one step son: Ardie of Jenkins, Kentucky; one brother: Bennie Wright of Neon, Kentucky; 4 daughters-in-law: Nina, Ann, Pina and Zealond; one sister-in-law Oaka Wright of Neon and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and friends. We feel our loss is Heaven's gain.
