BAYWHAM, Joseph W. - DIed on the 6th inst., at the residence of his father, in this city, after an illness of three days, from disease of the brain, Joseph W., son of John W. and Millie W. Baywham, aged six years and three months.

LOGSDON, Ambrose J. - Died, on the morning of the 10th instant, at the Infirmary in Louisville, Ky., after a short illness, Ambrose J. Logsdon, of the 10th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry (son of Basil Longsdon, Esq., of Washington county, Ky.) in the twenty-second year of his age. The unlooked-for demise of this gallant young soldier, on the eve of his return home to gladden the hearts of his expectant parents and sisters, after passing safely through the perils and privations of a soldier’s life for the past three years, is one of those mysterious dispensations of an overruling Providence, which, while we cannot fathom, it behooves us to bow to in silent though sorrowing resignation. The affectionate family, so suddenly stricken by this unexpected blow (within little more than a year from the death of an only brother of the subject of this notice, who fell at the battle of Chickamauga), will, in their afflicted hearts, long lament their loss; but it is consoling to know, that, in the full possession of his faculties, he received the last rites of the church, of which he had always been a consistent member. - Springfield, KY., December 30, 1864.
