I am searching for additional information on William EDGER born 1815, first
wife was Sarah Jane "Unknown", second wife was Amanda M. SIPPLE born 1822.
William had an uncle Edward EDGER, what was the name of Edwards brother
that was Williams father? William had a son John William EDGER born
1861 that was killed in an accident while working for the railroad. John
William was the father of John Thomas, Rosie, Martha, Don William, Ella,
and Paul. I need Williams parents, his first wifes surname and
dates. Any help appreciated folks. Was William related to the Edward Edger
and later family that left Ireland to Maryland to Virginia/West Virginia
to Kentucky to Darke County, Ohio and some family members to Randolph County,
Indiana?

Marianne In the "History of Harrison So. KY" there is a story of several
men lead by a Mr. Collins into this area during the summer of 1785. Among
these men is a William Shields. I would like to know what happened to this
man and from where he came. It is said the men in Collins party built cabins
and cleared land to plant crops. I realize that at this time Ky was still
considered to be part of VA. Any help you can offer would be great. The William
Shields of my family can only be traced to Paris, KY in 1805 when he was
running the mill for a Mr. Jones. I have no idea who his parents are nor
where he came from.

Allen(maybe Waters) stowed away on a ship in the mid 1800's (we believe from
Ireland). He was found out by the Captain of the ship. The Captain(Captain
Earnest) put Allen to work on the ship and eventually adopted him. His known
name became Allen R. Earnest. He settled in Cynthiana, Harrison Co., Ky.
He Married Sarah Elizabeth Antrobus and they had a daughter named Mattie
Earnest who married Fred Slade. We are told that Allen & Sarah might
have had other children too. If you have any information concerning this
matter please e-mail me, bright@cinternet.net We would also like to know
anything about the ship that he stowed away on and also became part of the
crew. Any info on a Captain Earnest would be helpful. Thank You in Advance!
