George Kirkpatrick and his wife, 1828 in Harrison County, Kentucky. I know there were two Georges in Harrison in the 1810 census and only one listed in 1820-1850 census. I also found in a KY book a listing of a visible stone, no date, of a George and Margaret being buried in the "Old Graveyard" in Cynthiana with a sentiment by their grateful children and that a grandchild "Little Johnny" was buried alongside them. This must be my ggggrandparents, parents to Cyrus and probably Dr. John A. Kirkpatrick buried in lot 8 of old graveyard on Main Street.

In a listing of Harrison County, KY marriages there is one, Bond #108 of Thomas MAIZE to Hannah ELLIOTT on 13 Feb 1797. The bondsman was William KIRKPATRICK, who had married Anna MAIS on 8 June 1776. I do not know if Anna is the sister of Thomas. She was the daughter of John MAIS and is described in the Kirkpatrick Newsletter as having been born in Pennsylvania. But it appears there is a family connection. Hope this helps.

It is possible one of the George KIRKPATRICK in the 1810 census of Harrison County, KY, bought land in Ohio. Page 1 of the KIRKPATRICK NEWSLETTER, vol. viii, no. 1,1997 has a list of purchasers of Ohio land. One given is George Kirkpatrick, 1812 June 10, Residence-Kentucky-- land bought was in Range 13, Township 04, Section 12. The land is identified as being in the survey "between the Miamis" which would put it in the general area of Greene County, Ohio where Nancy KIRKPATRICK married Joseph Snodgrass on 13 Jan 1813. I have the census figures for one George KIRKPATRICK in 1810 ,which would indicate he and his wife were under 26 with only one son, no daughters. This would tie in with the George who married Margaret ANDERSON on 22 Feb 1808 in Harrison County, KY bond #551. Do you have the census figures for the other George?

I am looking for a woman who would have been born in Harrison Co. between 1957 and 1959, born Betty Carol BRUIN. She was given away by her mother, Jeanetta Bruin to a family by the name of Melvin and Bonnie FRYMAN. The child was not legally adopted, but was probably raised as Betty Carol Fryman, and has since married. From research, I believe she was raised in Harrison County. This person is my half sister, whom I have never met and would like to be able to contact her, if she would like.
