Wednesday, June 2, 1999 Looking for information to fill in the blanks on Raymond Ecklar, born 1897, (where?) died September 3, 1969.  His father Tom Ecklar (b. ? - d.?).  His mother (name, birth & death?).  Raymond Ecklar died in Harrison County on September 3, 1969 and is buried in Benson Methodist Church Cemetery, Harrison County, Kentucky.  Raymond was the husband of Alma D. Lang (b. May 1895 - d. January 25, 1951) daughter of Robert Henry Lang and Lizzie L. Slade.

Thursday, June 3, 1999 Arthur Steward married Elenor Frazier in 1799 in Harrison County, Kentucky.  I believe Arthur to be from Pennsylvania and Elenor to be from Maryland.  They moved to Ohio by 1820.  Looking for them, their parents, siblings and children. I believe Arthur to be the brother of Robert Stewart, who married Margery Beatty.  I descend from Arthur's son, Chambers Stewart, born in 1813.  I have found that Robert Stewart has many children with names involving Chambers and Frazier.

Friday, June 4, 1999 Mary Ann or Margaret Rickerson is listed in the 1830 Harrison County, Kentucky census.  Her first husband was Timothy Rickerson or Ricketson, who died in Nelson County, Kentucky.  Estate settled July 1813.  Mary Ann Rickerson, married second William Staunton.  Date of death unknown for Mary Ann Rickerson Stauton.  Children of Timothy Rickerson and Mary Ann were: Willis, John, Charles, married Sarah Ann Tharp (first wife).  The second child Nicholas Charles Rickerson was listed in the 1850 Harrison County, Kentucky and on page 154 in the 1860 Harrison County. The family moved to St. Paul. Minnesota.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Three boys were born of this union Willis 1797 John 1799 Charles 1800 married Mary Harris 23 Dec. 1823 The boys had moved to Newport, Campbell Co., Ky as recorded in the 1830 Campbell Co., Newport, Ky census Three boys - The second child was Nicolas Charles Rickerson born 29 Mar. 1824 in Newport, Kentucky. Also there was a girl. In the 1850 Harrison Co.,District No.2 Ky. census Nicolas Charles Rickerson and family are listed. page 154 Mary Ann Rickerson married Wm. Staunton. Looking for date of death for Mary Ann or Margaret Rickerson Staunton. She is listed in the 1830 Harrison Co., Ky census. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information about my great-great-great-great grandfather William Allen (1711-1799) who came to America in 1729 and owned "Red Hill Plantation" in Virginia. I also need information about his descendants David Allen (1750-1830), David Allen, Jr., (1805-1892), Bush Rod Allen (1840-1909), and Alvin Allen (1875-1963). David Jr., Bush Rod, and Alvin lived near Leesburg, Harrison County, KY. They are buried in the Jacksonville Cemetery on route 353. The Allen Pike (where they lived) was given the family name.

A shocking case of criminal depravity has just been developed in Harrison Co. An inquest was held on the body of a child found in a hollow stump on the farm of Mr. Epperson near Cynthiana. Searching for any information on my great-grandfather Garrett Powell Harrison or known to most as G.P. Harrison. His father was from Virginia, who moved to Harrison County, Kentucky. G.P. Harrison may have been born in Harrison County, but not for sure. Most of this information was taken off of his marriage certificate of his second wife, Sarah E. "Sally" Lester from Caldwell Co. G.P.
