I am searching for any and all descendants of or information about, Nathan Rawlings (1750-1821). Nathan Rawlings lived in Bourbon, Harrison, and possibly Pendleton Counties, KY, moved to Franklin County, OH about 1800, then to Illinois about 1816. He died in Lawrence County, IL. I have been researching the Rawlings family (various branches) for almost 19 years and would be happy to exchange any and all information concerning Nathan or his descendants. If you are not certain if your ancestry extends back to Nathan, please contact me if your Rawlings ancestors lead you back to southern Illinois counties of Lawrence, Edwards, Crawford or Franklin.

I'm having trouble locating information on my Shelton Randsell/Ransdall, who was 37 years of age and living in Bourbon County (Centerville) in 1880. I cannot locate Shelton on an 1860 census or on an 1870 census, where he should have been listed with his wife, Susan McDonald and children Ida and Lulu.  I've assumed he was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky based on the information on his daughters death certificate. I am beginning to doubt this theory. There are many Ransdell/Ransdall families in Owen, Henry and Mercer Counties. Could these families be related and my ancestor moved to Bourbon Co. on his own? There are also Ransdell/Ransdalls buried in Harrison County. Could these be related? Any information on this mystery would be appreciated.
