I am researching the Henry and Layton families of Kentucky. Elijah Henry
was born on April 15, 1808 in Kentucky. He married Jane Layton on October
25, 1825 in Harrison County, Kentucky. Jane was born around 1799 in Kentucky.
The Henrys had some of their children in Kentucky and some in Indiana. Do
you know the parents of either Elijah or Jane? I am especially interested
in following the Henrys. Would be happy to share any information that I
have.

I am looking for information on my grandfather, John Thomas Romans, born
in Harrison County in Feb. 1859. He was married to Amanda Catherine Petty,
who was born in Tennessee. They had 10 children, some who were born in Harrison
County, Kentucky; Elmer Durestes Romans was born May 8, 1896, in Harrison
County; Odella Romans was born November 2, 1897, in Harrison County; Alvin
Thomas Romans was born Mar. 7, 1899, probably in Harrison County; John Thomas
Romans' family is shown in Trimble County , Kentucky on the 1900 Census.
Durestes Lafayette Petty might also have been in this area at the time. He
was the father of Amanda Catherine Petty. Carl Frank Romans was another son.
He was born in Ludlow, Campbell County, Kentucky on September 25, 1908 and
was the youngest of their children. Any help with these names will really
be appreciated.
