Looking for information on James Marshall and wife, Susanna Carpenter. James
was born , November 12, 1781 and died July 14, 1866 in Indiana. Allegedly,

of Cynthiana, Kentucky. However, it was thought he was born in
Pennsylvania. Children, all born in Kentucky, include: Adeline Marshall born
about 1808; Maizy B. Marshall born about, January 27, 1811; Freehorn Garrison
Marshall, born December 30, 1811; William Marshall, born about 1813; Hazzard
Perry Marshall, born May 5, 1816; Katherine Marshall, born about 1819; Benjamin
Franklin Marshall, born June 27, 1819 and John Jasper Newton Marshall, born
about 1822.

I am looking for information on my grandfathers family history. His adopted
name was William K. Smith, his original surname was William K. Stroub. His
mother supposedly died when he was very young, leaving him and his brother
and sisters with his father. Apparently his father couldn`t take care of
them. James Stroub was raised by his maternal grandparents for a short time.
Their names were John and Minnie Groves. He then went out on his own. The
rest of the children were adopted out to different people. The other sisters
were Pauline, and Mary Louise. Williams biological parents names was Pete
Stroub, and Evie Groves Stroub. Evie was born October 5, 1895 and Peter was
born about 1892. Any information on my grandfathers family would be greatly
appreciated.

Is there anyone working on the Davis family of Harrison County, Kentucky.
I have an ancestor Margaret Davis born in 1793 in Nicholas County,
Kentucky and when she married she was "of Harrison County, KY." She is the
daughter of Robert and Margaret Davis and Robert is foreign born.

Thomas Whitledge, born 1788 at Paris, Bourbon KY to Capt. John Whitledge
and Alcey Freetor. He married Sara Jane Curry (born about 1809 at Cynthiana,
Harrison County, Kentucky) in February 1828. She was the daughter of John
Curry according to his will probated 1840. In Harrison County 1810 census
John and Robert Curry were listed at #321. They were brothers and probably
the sons of William Curry. In 1820 William Adams and John Curry were listed
at #164. In 1830 both William Adams and John Curry were reported at Licking--
Adams at #145 and Curry at # 148. Thomas Whitledge was also at #148. I would
appreciate any and all information on this Curry and Adams family. According
to the will of William Adams, Sr. , probated July 1795, his daughter
Margaret married John Curry, who is named as son of William Curry in "William
Adams Family History". John Curry was married to the widow Margaret McClure
and is buried at Stonermouth Church Cemetery in Bourbon County, Kentucky,
but they did not marry until 1840. Is John Curry married to Margaret Adams
the father or grandfather of Sara Jane Curry, named Sara Jane Whitledge in
his will? I know about all there is to know about Whitledge and allied families
and am willing to share. Thomas Whitledge and Sara Jane Curry moved to Pike
County, Missouri.
