Have been looking for George W. Thompson b. 1805-06 somewhere in NE KY. I know he m. a lady by the first name of Martha, unknown last name. She was born abt. 1808. Some records say she was born in KY, some say OH and some say Ireland. They were married abt. 1825-26 in KY and had three children Nancy Thompson b. 1827, James Harvey b. 1830, and Anna b. 1831. Abt. 1832 they moved to Lawrence Co, OH in the Waterloo area around Symmes Twp. They had 5 more children in OH. Samuel Thompson b. 1833, Malinda b. 1835, Rhoda b. 1839, Permitta b. 1843 and George W. b. 1844. Have lots more info on these kids in OH and families, but have not been able to find the father George and mother Martha in KY. Have put numerous querries on various county message boards. If this family looks familiar to you, please email me. I think that they may have migrated with other families as that is the way most ancestors traveled back then. Other families may have been Caulley, Armstrong, Bush, McDaniel, She! lton and Carpenter.
