I am searching for information on William HOLDING, born in 1774; place unknown,
married in 1808 Scott County, KY to Harriet Leach, daughter of William and
Mary [?] Leach [1822 Scott County, KY estates will [I would like to have
copy] William and Harriet are the parents of my great grandfather,
William M. Holding [1819]. Harriet died in 1823 and William married Nancy
Perkins in Scott County, Kentucky and had several more children. William
M. married Sarah Amanda Burke in 1847 Listed on marriage certificate was
James Burke, father. Any information on James Burke appreciated.

Would like to correspond with anyone researching these names in Harrison
Co., KY. Mostly in the Cynthiana area. They all have connections to the VANDEREN
family. Some I have quite a bit on, others just a name and perhaps some dates.
There are many surnames that I have not included here. There are also many
family lines in Owen and Fayette Counties along with Bourbon and Nicholas
and Scott Counties.

I may have a branch or twig or something that belongs to your line. Tell
me what you think. I have an Elizabeth (Betsy) Monson b:1793/94 in Harrison
Co.,KY. D; before 1820 from a fall while she was riding a horse. She married
Joseph Van Deren in Harrison Co. 15/17 Nov 1814. They had no children that
I am aware of. Joseph moved to Coles Co., IL in 1833. Her parents were (this
is from Ed Dolan): Isaac Monson (1765-1852) and Nancy Webb They moved to
Illinois, Coles Co, area in 1834. (Moultrie Co. is in the same area.) Their
children were: Sarah Elizabeth m: Joseph Van Deren Anne Isaac Moss Emily
Mary John Lucy Isaac's parents were: Samuel Monson and Sarah ? Moss? Joseph's
brother, Stephen Murray Van Deren also married a Monson girl. Mary (Polly),
the d/o Samuel Monson and Clary Hudspeth in Harrison Co. (The Hudspeth line
is the primary one to the above mentioned Ed Dolan, edolan@KC.NET). I would
really like to make sense out of these Monsons. There was also a Thomas Monson
who was very prominent in the Coles County public life who was from Harrison
Co. I don't know where he fits in yet. Thank you, I appreciate your help

Looking for any information on the early Whalen family in Harrison Co. KY,
esp. regarding where they came from before settling on Harrison before 1803.
Tax rolls list a Solomon, Sr., Solomon Jr. and Henry Whalen starting in 1803.
Henry, my ancestor, lived long enough to be recorded in the Census returns
for 1850 and 1860 and his place of birth is given as Virginia. Also looking
for information on the CARR family. Rachel Jane CARR, daughter of Robert

Need information on George KINKADE, who married Rebecca Newland in 1801 in
Harrison County, KY. They may have had a son, Robert Kinkade, who died
in Hardin County, KY. George died in 1805-1806. He lived in Harrison
and Bourbon Counties of Kentucky. If Robert is this George Kinkade's
son, Robert would have been born after 1801 and before 1806, possibly in
Harrison or Bourbon County, Kentucky.

Am interested in contacting persons researching SAMUEL SHARRARD, who married
BETSY CLINE the 10 July 1809 in Bourbon Co. In approximately 1810, SAMUEL
is listed in the Harrison Co. census. Sons of Samuel and Betsy were: William
Sharrard, James Samuel Sharrard and John N. Sharrard. Bety's father
may have been John Cline. Samuel Rule was a family friend and may have married
Betsy at some time.
