Would like to find others interested in the Michael Smith family.  Michael states in his application for Revolutionary War service (application made in Harrison County) that he was 1752 in Washington County, Maryland.  Some sources say he may have been of German stock coming from Pennsylvania.  His first wife
Regina Fruit (Fruth/Fruh), who he married in Washington County, Maryland.  By 1800 he had moved to Montgomery County, Kentucky.  He marries in 1797 to Mrs. Nancy Levits in Montgomery County, Kentucky, but by 1840 he is living in Bourbon County, Kentucky with son, Peter Smith.  Michael Smith dies in Harrison County in 1842.  His will was probate December 1842 in Harrison County, Kentucky.  Children named in will; Martin, Nicholas, Catherine (my line), Michael, George, Betsy, Anna, Amanda, John, Peter and Manuel and also wife, Nancy.  Nancy dies in Rush County, Indiana where she was living with son, George and daughter, Amanda, who married James R. McConnell.  Catherine, daughter of Michael, married first Christian Zumwalt, second William Bodkin (both in Harrison County, Kentucky)  Will appreciated any comments and will exchange with anyone interested in this family.
