I am seeking information about Rachel M. STEVENSON [STEPHENSON]. She was born about Sept. 16, 1803, and died June 16, 1864. She may have had a brothers or uncles named Mills, James and/or William STEVENSON. Her husband was Samuel DILTZ [DILLS, DILS], who was born Sept. 1, 1794, and died Apr. 28, 1858, son of Joseph DILTZ and Mary JARRARD. Joseph and Mary Jarrard Diltz removed from NJ to Harrison Co., KY, then to OH, ending up in Champaign Co. of that state by 1820 where Samuel and Rachel raised a family of eleven children. Samuel and Rachel were married in either KY, possibly Harrison Co, or in OH. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.

This is a new one for me. I only know my ggggrandfather George Kirkpatrick lived in Harrison Co and was father to Cyrus (b 1816), my gggrandfather. I haven't been able to get a handle on who George is descended from or who his wife was. I have census info from the 1790-1860s and find there were two George's in 1810 census but only one in 1820 which I know is mine. Now I have a little more info to work on. Thanks and maybe we can get to the root of this.

Dr. John Kirkpatrick is in Harrison Co. 1860 Census (p.156) along with wife Harriet E. and J.K. and Mary D. Scanlan. There is also a John A. Kirkpatrick in the 1850 Census (p.57). Are these the same people? I have an 1880's article from my grandmother's book that recounts the Battle of Cynthiana and listing a surgeon named Dr. John Kirkpatrick. I also have a note of a John Kirkpatrick of NY who I believe is the same person. I also think he may be the son of George Kirkpatrick and brother to Cyrus.
