In the name
of God Amen, I, Richard H. Robertson of the county of Harrison KY, being
sick and weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory (for which I
thank God) and calling to mind 1st. I desire that all my real estate be equally divided between my four sons, Richard W. Robertson, Albert T. Robertson, Rueben S. Robertson and James Robertson. 2nd. I desire my son Rueben S. Robertson to have the black man named Paton and to keep him so long as he lives and for the black man never to be sold.
3rd. I
desire that after my decease that all my blacks or Negroes except the one
above named, be sold, and all my personal estate, and the proceeds or money
be equally divided among my heirs
4th. I
desire and will that my son Albert T. Robertson hold and keep the mill seat
including one half acre of land lying during his life and then to go to his
heirs or assigns forever, the above is not
5th. I
desire and give unto my son Rueben S. Robertson on bay mare (called Mary)
and two beds and bedding and also my son James Robertson one gray mare (called
Prince) this mare to be 6th. I request my son Albert T. Robertson to act as agent, take care and transact all business for my son James Robertson.
And lastly,
I do hereby constitute and appoint my two sons, Richard W. Robertson and
Albert T. Robertson, Executors of this my last will and testament, hereby
revolking all other or former wills Richard H. Robertson (seal)
