Mt. Pleasant Cemetery

Cemetery is located on the Oddville-Sunrise Road north of Curry. The old church that once stood here was
destroyed by tornados in 1974. Today only the cemetery remains. 

Burials in this cemetery were located using various resources.  Harrison County material located at the
Kentucky Historical Society Library and Kentucky Death Certificates have been used to compile this list of
burials and may not be a complete listing. The list does not constitute a current physical survey, nor does
it imply a marker or stone exist for each burial listed.

Using death certificates to determine burials in this cemetery may be challenging.  Many death certificates
only list place of burial as Mt. Pleasant.  Also located in Harrison County is the Mt. Pleasant Methodist
Church Cemetery; therefore additional research may be needed to determine the correct place of burial.
