David C. Cole Family

David C. Cole was born about 1770 in Virginia.  He came to Kentucky in the late 1790's.  David obtained a marriage bond in Harrison County,
Kentucky on December 13, 1794 to marry Elizabeth "Betsey" Senate.  Betsey was born in Pennsylvania on August 14, 1775.  By 1799, David C.
Cole moved his young family to Missouri.  He died on May 21, 1822 and Betsey on December 16, 1856.  Both died in Franklin County, Missouri
and are buried in the Cole Cemetery.

David Cole owned land grant from the Spanish for land on the Missouri River south of present day St. Louis.  He is mentioned in the
"History of St. Louis City and County", by J. Thomas Scharf.  The Cole homestead on the Missouri River was adjacent to that of Daniel
Boone.  David C. Cole was one of the first Kentuckians to settle in the area that became Franklin County, Missouri.  David and his wife
Elizabeth Senate Cole and their two baby boys came from Fayette County, Kentucky and settled in the lower Missouri Valley in 1798.

Robert Cole, was born about 1798 in Kentucky.  He died before 1860 in Missouri.
Robert married Zipporah "Sippy" Taylor on February 7, 1819 in Logan County,
Kentucky.  Sippy was born about 1800 in Kentucky.
Jacob Cole, was born January 25, 1797 in Fayette County, Kentucky.  Jacob died
on December 4, 1892, in Franklin County, Missouri.  He is buried in Beouff Presbyterian
Cemetery.  Jacob married Susan Harrison on January 26, 1821 in Franklin County,
Missouri.  Susan was born about 1796 in Virginia.
George Washington Cole, was born on February 4, 1799 in St. Louis or St. Charles
County, Missouri.  He died after 1850 in Dent County, Missouri.  George married
Rebecca Franklin about 1824 in Missouri.
Sarah Cole, was born 1801 in St. Charles, Missouri.  She married Fermin Stites.
Susan Cole, was born 1803 in St. Charles, Missouri.  Susan married David Duncan.
Jonathan Mark Cole, was born 1807 in St. Charles, Missouri.  On March 6, 1827,
he married Mary Short.  Jonathan married second on April 19, 1870 to Sarah Fouty.
David Cole, was born 1809 in St. Charles, Missouri and died on March 26, 1849. He
married Martha Topley.
Louisa Cole, was born 1811 in St. Charles, Missouri.  
Mary Ann Elizabeth Cole, was born 1813 in St. Charles, Missouri.  She married
Robert Colvin on April 10, 1828.
Stephen Cole, was born on March 16, 1815 in St. Charles or St. Louise, Missouri.
He died on July 25, 1881 in Missouri.  Stephen married Nancy Drennan (Duncan) on
November 30, 1837.
